I just saw the movie "Alice in Wonderland" and I really want to make a Card themed army, the problem is, I have no idea what Game/faction I should use. I was thinking Warmachine for the game but I'm not sure what factoin I should use.

Cards:

Whoever appeals to the law against his fellow man is either a fool or a coward. Whoever cannot take care of himself without that law is both. For a wounded man shall say to his assailant, "If I Die, You are forgiven. If I Live, I will kill you." Such is the Rule of Honor.

i dont think there are any armies any more suited towards being playing cards.... Eldar are as good a choice as any i suppose. Personally i would choose a faction with an abundance of disposable foot troops. Imperial guard conscripts? It would be kinda cool to do a Warhammer fantasy army themed that way. Not so versed in the army choices of fantasy, but empire springs to mind.

Those could work as Bretonnian men-at-arms.

I understood what you were going for, if you are going to model an army as a deck of walking cards does it really matter which you choose? I said empire because it meshes well with the concept. Jack of hearts horse is very empire. I say model some up and worry about the rules later...

Good idea. I think I'll make some casts of the diffrent bodyparts with universal type joints, so that one casted static torso could have a vary large amount of poses. I'll get my friend to make me a clay mock-up some tome this week.

Back in the 90's someone did an Alice in Wonderland-themed Bretonnian army that made it to White Dwarf. It was pretty sweet. I don't remember seeing any pics of Men-At-Arms in that army, but they could've just not included the pics in the article. From what I remember, the army was made up of four big units of different kinds of knights, and each unit was a different suit. Alice was the Bretonnian Maiden and the Red Queen was one of the old big-hatted Bret maidens. IRC, there was a also a White Knight using the Green Knight mini.

Man, I wish there was a real Black Library where I could get a Black Library Card and take out Black Library Books without having to buy them. Of course, late fees would be your soul. But it would be worth it. - InquisitorMack
