So I have 20 warriors, 6 spore mines, 5 ravanors, 30 genestealers and 50 gaunts. As I already have a list packed with trygons tervagons and hive tyrants, I want to do a swarm or drop pod list. I have pretty much every elite and heavy slot units as well.

How would you build a swarm army with this and what would your tactics be, at 1750 points.

And whilst you're pointing and shouting at the boogeyman in the corner, you're missing the burglar coming in through the window.

Well, Duh! Because they had a giant Mining ship. If you had a giant mining ship you would drill holes in everything too, before you'd destory it with a black hole

I think you can either do a Warrior heavy list or a swarm list. Not sure you can really swarm with that many Warriors. How about this?

Edit - Sorry this is 1850, I misread your post. Probably drop one Zoanthrope and either a Warrior or some gaunts.
First Wave
120 Prime: Whip/Sword, Deathspitter, Regen, AG
290 Warriors x6: Claws, Deathspitters. Mycetic Spore w/ TL Deathspitter
230 Zoanthropes x3 & Mycetic Spore w/ TL Deathspitter
Second Wave
120 Prime: Whip/Sword, Deathspitter, Regen, AG
240 Warriors x6: Claws, Deathspitters
150 Termaguants x30
100 Hive Guard x2
100 Hive Guard x2
Third Wave
170 Genestealters x10 w/ TS
170 Genestealters x10 w/ TS
160 Gargoyle Brood x20 with AG & TS

First Wave - Prime travels with Warriors and both pods come down in enemy territory to harass.
Second Wave - Deploy on the battlefield. Gaunts in front of Warriors (with Prime) and Hive Guard on the flanks. They march across the board shooting/assault.
Third Wave - These can all outflank/deepstrike if you wish and can de deployed as required.

You could replace Gargoyles/Genestealers with Hormoguannts with Toxic Sacs if you prefer.

no whole idea, but I would suggest Devgant with Drop pod list, they have pretty nice damage out put. could also consider Vemoncannon upgrade for pods, and Dakkafex cause you cant drop hiveguards with pods and Zoanthrope wont be enough for all the armour hunting.

How competitive do you wanna go? Do you want to be able to at least stand a chance against tuned lists? If so you need at least 4-5 separate units that can handle transports efficiently and consistently. Unfortunately that means you'll need at least a couple MCs.

If you wanted to add theme and remove punch, or just don't face a lot of transports in your area... you can get by with an MC free army. Something like this will definitely work.

tyranid prime toxin sacs pair of boneswords
parasite of mortrex

3x venomthropes
3x hive guard
3x hive guard

20x hormagaunts with toxin sacs
20x hormagaunts with toxin sacs
3x warriors venom cannon
3x warriors venom cannon
6x ripper swarm adrenal glands tunnel swarm

20x gargoyles toxin sacs adrenal glands
20x gargoyles toxin sacs adrenal glands

I'd recommend going to ground if someone even looks at your warriors funny. Remember to push up with the hormagaunts but also remember that they aren't there to do all the wetwork, they are primarily there to score objectives close to the enemy. Go aggro with the gargoyles... trail some models behind so that they are always in range of the venomthropes. Rippers are another vehicle threat and big distraction that your opponent might get sidetracked trying to deal with. Hive guard are to be used to kill transports only. Until all transports are dead, they've got to target them. Transports are the bane of horde armies.

103 models... thats about as hordey as hordey gets these days...

Great list Shep. I make that 1671 Points so a little to spare for upgrading the Warriors.

Personally not keen on Adrenal Glands for Rippers though. They do not really seem worth the points.

with Adrenal Glands Rippers can hurt most vehicles on their charge. With 4 attacks a base, that could cause some harm, from an unexpected source.

Did not think of that! Thanks. That would help an army list that is weak on the overall anti-tank front.
I would give the Warriors Rending claws so they can have a go at vehicles too.
