Grievance: It has been over 7 months since I have commisioned Lormax (a registered Dakkadakka user) to magnitiize two hive tyrants. I paid up front. I have still not recived my models back. Communication with the vendor has been sporadic at best and it has been over 3 months since I have heard from the member. As it currently stands, I am out about $170. There are two other DakkaDakka users with similar complaints against Lormax.

I match polarization whenever I do multiple models as a rule. It makes things a bit quicker and easier for me if I don't have to remember which model is polarized in what way. It also means if you end up with more models in the future, I'd only need one to be sent back to me thats already magnetized so that I can match the new ones up to the originals.

The bodies are done.

Most arms are either finished or very close to it, though looking through it the metal arms, especially the bonesword, are drooping because of the weight. Did we decide to install pins for the arms that do that? It helps prevent the droop but means the poses are less dynamic and more static for those arms. Greenstuff needs to be applied to the arms to finish them off, mostly.

The twin-linked devourer arms are next for this one. They take about an hour or so each for me to get done right...shouldn't take too long at all to get done.

For the strangler/venom cannon arms, was I supposed to set them up so that both arms for the weapon are on the same side, or leave them as-is to be on the two seperate sides of the bodies? Also, if we leave them as-is, was I installing a magnet at the side of the weapon for the arm that goes across the body to be stuck to it, or are you going to glue it?

If you don't know what I mean, I have some Carnifex strangler/VCannon arms that are converted to be same-side installed. I'll shoot you a pic if you leave me an email.

At this time, I would be more than happy to just get the model's back regardless of the progress in magnitizing. I would even be willing to have Lormax ship collect. Unfortuantely, he is not responding to my emails or voice messages.

Those threads are currently inactive and from PM with Dolemite and Bood Angel in the past 4 weeks, things have not been resolved on thier end.

Actually, I was the only one who seamed to ever get through to Lormax...well that was till 3 months ago.

Edit: Blood Angle PM'd me and said that he got his models back recently.

i didn't see your name in those threads so i figured i'd link them. unfortunately, at 3+ months, you're outside the window of filing a paypal complaint/dispute. if anything, maybe if 3 of you are calling the local PD to file complaints of theft, they might do something. if he hasn't responded to emails/pms over the past few months and the other two complaints are unresolved, i don't think he's going to turn a new leaf suddenly for no reason.

As a note, Lormax has not been active on Dakka since late November.

Considering the circumstances, warboss's suggestion may be best. I'm gonna look into asking the MODs to give some disciplinary action on Lormax's account owing to the time-period of these issues.

Blood Angel, if you see this and could chime in on how much contact you've been able to get with Lormax, that'd be great.

You guys may want to act check and see if there is any laws saying if he has items from 1 year they become his.

I would begin by calling the local PD and get a report in.

Which one, his or mine? I am guessing you mean his. Unfortunately, he moved about 3-4 months ago and I am not sure if he is even in the same area. I am waiting to hear back from Blood Angel. Call the local PD where you sent items. California?

Go to your local PD and get advice and direction.

Go to USPS and ask about mail fraud and what to do next.

Update,

I was able to reach Lormax via texting his phone number. I threatened to call the police if he didn't mail my parts and send me a tracking number in 5 days. He actually replied and after getting my address said that I will have the tracking number by next week. Hopefully this fiasco gets resolved.

I think this was an excellent way to go. If it works, perhaps the other people missing parts can do the same.

I had a comission go much longer than expected, with a lack of communication, and I also got my minis back this way- a deadline (of about a week) to send the parts out, finished or not, or I'd contact the authorities.

Let us know if you get a tracking number!

Im very glad it worked out for you... that said not everyone can recieve texts.... i myself cant... people send and i get zero... nadda.. nothing... so anyone reading this, texts are great, for those that can recieve them.

Just recieved my items in the mail. Everything is accoounted for. Unfortunately, the models were not magnitized, but I am happy to have my items back nevertheless. That said, you can go ahead and close this transaction report.

PS he did text me the tracking number if anyone was wondering.

Did you get the $170 commission money back?
I think you should pursue it...

Considering that wyomingfox seems to be at least contented to have his items back, I'm gonna go ahead and lock this for now.

Having said that, wyomingfox, if you do plan on seeking any other refund/what have you, PM me or another Swap Mod about it.
