2000+ points, Warhammer 40K Altansar Craftworld Eldar Army

Thought lost in the Eye of Terror, Maugan Ra's home craftworld was recovered during the Eye of Terror Campaign. Though untrusted by the other Craftworlds, Maugan Ra's kin are ready to prove themselves where it matters...on the battlefield.

This fully-painted army is ready to hit the tabletop, and is designed to take on any force. Every figure has been painted with extreme attention, with the smallest details picked out. Every model has a custom-sculpted base featuring streams of lava.

The figures themselves retail for almost $550, and hundreds of man-hours went in to assembling, converting, and painting this army. The starting price for this auction is high, but this army is well worth the cost. Of course, I don't expect you to take my word for it...check out the pictures below and see for yourself.

This army contains:
  • 1 Maugan Ra
    1 Avatar
    1 Eldrad
    1 Warlock
    8 Harlequins (1 x Shadowseer, 1 x Death Jester, 2 x Harlequins /w Fusion Pistol & Harlequin's Kiss, 4 x Harlequins /w Harlequin's Kiss
    10 Wraithguard
20 Dire Avengers (2 squads of 10, each led by an Exarch /w power weapon and shimmershield)
    7 Rangers / Pathfinders
5 Dark Reapers (Including 1 Exarch /w Tempest Launcher)
2 Wraithlords (Magnetized /w full weapons options)

  • HQ Units: Maugan Ra, Eldrad, Avatar
You'll have three HQ units to choose from. First up is Maugan Ra, as is only appropriate for an Altansar Craftworld Army. He's a beast both as a shooter and in assault. I usually attach him to the Harlequins, and he doesn't disappoint.

Backing up Maugan Ra are the mighty Avatar and the powerful Eldrad. The Avatar will add to your army's hitting power, while Eldrad makes almost every unit in your army better. Also pictured here is the Warlock who goes with the squad of Wraithguard, making them count as Troops in your army...critical to securing objectives in today's 40K game.

    Elite Units: Harlequins
Eldar Harlequins are some of the best assault units in the game, and this unit won't disappoint. I usually use this squad as a bodyguard for Maugan Ra, and the combined unit hits ridiculously hard in assault. On the way in, they can lay down some serious fire with the Death Jester's shuriken cannon backing up Maugan Ra's Maugatar. Check out the ridiculously detailed paint jobs on these figs. I've also included close-ups of the Shadowseer and Death Jester so you can see just what I'm talking about.

Troop Units: Wraithguard, Dire Avengers, Rangers / Pathfinders
Led by a Warlock, these 10 Wraithguard become Troops, and are able to seize and hold objectives. With a Toughness of 6 and a 3+ save, this unit will stick around for a long time. Each model has a hand-painted Wraithguard rune and Altansar Craftworld rune.

Backing up the Wraithguard are two full squads of Dire Avengers, each led by an Exarch with a shimmershield and power weapon. These squads put out immense firepower, once the Exarch's bladestorm power is put to use.

The final unit of Troops are these 7 Rangers or Pathfinders. With Infiltrate and Stealth, this unit will be deucedly hard to shift once they've taken up positions, while their sniper rifles will wound anything that isn't a vehicle.

Heavy Support Units: Dark Reapers and Wraithlords
These Dark Reapers have a real "reach out and touch someone capability." With an Exarch armed with a Tempest Launcher, not even hiding out of line of sight will keep enemy units safe from this squad.

These two Wraithlords epitomize toughness and survivability. I've magnetized the heck out of these models, allowing you to change how they're equipped from game to game. Each wraithlord has a wraithsword, bright lance, eldar missile launcher, starcannon, shuriken catapult, and scatter laser... mix and match to your heart's content.

If you want to own this stunningly painted army...make me an offer. I need the cash, so I'll consider any serious offer.
