3-4 Scoring Units.
7-8 KP.

The idea is simple. Infiltrate scouts close, hopefully the 10 man squad gets possessed (S5 I5 scouts? LOL), and when the squads come in I run the 5 man scout squad to an objective while everything else kills stuff.

I figured that because everyone is going so mech heavy that an entire army of infantry should hinder all those anti-tank guns, somewhat. Obviously this list has some short comings, but for 1500pts I have 5 Troop choices. I have my reasons, but as far as asking for advise, they are mute. So do you think it would work? Just for fun or what?

But I'm pretty sure that people still run with a few anti horde or anti infantry units and relying on a 1 out of 6 chance if I remember correctly to have the possession take hold doesnt seem worth it.

Plus you dont really seem to have any real range power so if you are fighting gun lines they can easily shoot you up if they have deploy.

Plus 35 units doesn't seem like a whole lot for a footy army. But this is all my personal opinion.

Um, it's unclear how much of some things you are taking (like how many sniper rifles) and you didn't list what you planned on giving the liby for powers. If these questions seem dumb, I'm sorry, I'm new here.

I think his lib is a special lib. What is your plan of entry onto the field? Deep strike assault ect? And I would recommend having the sanquin priests their feel no pain save is good especially if you are going for an assaulty get into the treds anti mech army. Just remember you do have death or glory so they can just run you over if you arn't good with the die rolls.

If you want to try to mess with people and have a mass army of space marines. Just get the absolute MEQ types.

Field squads of 10 tacticals. Tons of them, give everyone weapons. Toss Devastators in the very back, and keep your lib to give them buffer spells like Shield.

Only get transport if your going to put assault marines in it. I vote 5 assault marines + razorback LC + TL plasma gun for 155 points

Just keep fielding troops. Dont' try to fix in tanks, go just enough assault marines to hang with your librarian if you want to keep jump pack on him. And wait til later rounds, and drop him exactly where you have homers positioned or something.

All my units have a TH or a Melta weapon so DoG isn't a prob. I know the priests have FNP and to every unit within 6" but i don't have the points for it. And last Astrath makes Red Thirst a 1-3 instead of a 1.

Well what's your counter to horde armies? Like for instance you go against a boyz horde or nids.. actually I have no idea how nids are played now a days. And a problem with the scouts is sure they might come in and get possessed but does it keep them from moving 6" a turn?

Death Company are expensive, and even more so with jump packs. For the points you spent on them, you could get like 3 full Assault Marine squads.

I think you can do a lot more with the points and you arn't maximizing what BA's can do with what they have.

Why have you gone for Thunder hammers rather than powerfists? Seems a waste of 5 points in each case.

I'm with the others if you're doing this type of list you need more bodies. I'd start with 3 full assault squads with 2 sanguinary priests and a chappy or 2 and build from there.

I'm not too familiar with the BA codex but taking 2 named HQ in a 1500 point army from my understanding is a risky gable at best because they can still be ripped apart by a bunch of shots just because their saves can keep up with standard fire from many guys.

So now my question to all of you is, if I want to do an infantry spam list, do i use Tactical marines, or Assault Squads?

Mobility is king in 40k so if you're going for space marine body spam then go with assault marines and sanguinary guard, probably lead by a reclusiarchs and/or chaplains with an HG squad here or there to add the extra punch.
