Hi, i'm still trying to figure out the WoC army book and make something thats worthwhile playing with, heres my latest attempt C&C Much appreciated.

You could split the Marauders into 2 groups of 10, no command with the MoS. Nice, cheap supporting unit for the Warriors.

Having a fighting Lord, you're going to have trouble getting any spells off with the 2 sorcerers.

Nice disc lord, hope he works for you. My own discer was cool but I kept overextending with him and getting him run down

I agree with Ran and to that end would agree with splitting the 20 marauders into 2x 10 w/ MoS, musician, gw. I would also ditch the tongue and use the points to get book + scroll and power familiar + scroll on the two sorcerers. Tongue I'm no fan of at all, just WAY too expensive (your tongue costs you 105 points automatically for the chance at exploding a wizard, while also nerfing your own wizard's ability to survive the game, thus threatening to cost you 210 points) and I'd rather see some offensive magic gear on your dudes.

Any luck with those drogres? Mine I still don't understand. Last game was a new high, because they actually died to shooting, instead of being run down after fluffing

Thanks for the help salvage, splitting the M down is definately something that I will do, and if you feel more blasty crap on the sorcs is the way forward i'm not one to disagree, my main plan with them was fly about, flickering fire some stuff and hopefully get the odd pandemonium off if i roll it.

My thoughts on the DOgres was essentially im paying pretty much the same for a unit of Knights but instead have 4 wounds and str 7 instead, i'll give em a try and report.

I just can't seem to get into this warriors book, maybe playing Wood Elves and TKs for too long has corrupted me but im determined to give em a good go or just sell the army for more bits to my other armies so i have plenty of unit choices for my tournament play next year.

i'd always have black tongue really messes the magic phase up for opponent. would perhaps drop maurader on foot and one mounted with puppys n get another dragon ogre unit

Going slightly off-topic here, but please bear with me. This might sound daft, but can you use the black tongue if your opponent rolls two sixes?

would assume not as rolling two sixes counts as casting spell un-dispelable. have seen people try cast the dreaded thirteenth on two dice. very annoyin when it works

I would reduce the units of warriors down to 12 and take out the champ. For the points he costs, 1 extra attack isn't worth it. Also, you won't have any characters in the units to protect in a challenge. Warriors are tough and don't need to rely on static res. It's all about the combat res they generate. With the points saved you could field another block of 12 warriors.

For the marauders I would remove the champ, again not really worth the points, and change MoN to either MoS or MoT. Being immune to panic, fear and terror is pretty awesome. MoT is 10 points cheaper and gives you a 6+ ward save. I'd say its a bit better then -1 to hit in CC or ranged. Overall it's still 1/6 chance of avoiding being wounded, but one allows you to make that save against magic too.
