I have a unit of IG that I want to make into count as scouts for my BA/CSM army. I'm basicly playing the BA w/ Chaos models, or at least Chaos looking models. So I guess why i'm posting this is to ask you guys if A) you think this would work, and B) how should i go about moeling them?

fluff wise and Nazi wise they will look as though they have not received the gene seed, but as long as they have the correct weapons and suitable looking carapace armor which you will have to green stuff

then all ok, but maybe separate style heads would be a good idea, to get rid of that army man helmet look so it will tie in with the astartes

Couple of questions;
1. is it a chaos army that is count-as BA?
2. if the above is true are they actual scouts or cultist counts as scouts?

If they are cultists try using a bitsmash of flagellents from WHFB and the standard guard models such as cadians.

If they are scouts then i would advise using some SM parts as well as some catachan parts rather then straight IG so they look more like scouts.

if the people you paly with are letting you use chaos as blood angles i doubt they will mind you using guard as scouts, and i guess if would coudl bulk them up some how it would help their cool, that or put them behind bushes to hide their little bodies

IG guardsmen as scouts...i don't see the harm, you can just call them a traitor legion working in cohesion with your CSM...could be cool, actually. I demand pictures!

actualy less profit if he is doing more than 5 scouts, saem price for 5 scouts you get 10 guardsmen

Snip of the barrel, get some tubing of the same size at the barrel and attach that between the gun and the barrel then add a scope bit

To make easy scope bits cut the binoculars (heavy weapons teams I think) in half and simply glue it to the top.
