Hey all, I just had an idea for a RP that could be done on this site, and which I may set up once we've finished the War of Attrition Role Play. I posted it as an idea to find out people's opinion and whether anyone would consider joining.

The idea is one I have been considering writing a story about for some time: A Space Marine somehow gets zapped back in time to present day earth, and gets caught up in various events. I thought I could expand on this and make the scenario that a Group of People from the 40k verse find their way here, and making it a RP.

Obviously this would be a complete flight of fancy as far as written Fluff is concerned, but hey, It could always have been a wacky dream brought on by the consuption of too much Fenrisian Ale.

There would of course be a restriction on how many characters would come over from the grimdark future, but that depends on how many people are interested.

Would anyone be up for this, or is it just too stupid/weird/unfluffy?

If enough people voice their interest, I'll make this the Sign up Thread once I've finished our Current RP. Don't post any characters until then.

Nah, this is cool. I'd be happy to join. Don't you think it would be cool if it was one person from each race that can be represented by an army on the tabletop? Then Dark Eldar and Chaos would probably team up... there'd be feds... and the MARINE would totally stand out.. xD This would result in the 40k universe probably ceasing to exist lawl. But anyways people's team up and try to stop evil peeps from changing time or something. Sound good? Although, why not do this along side Attri? I'm used to doing multiple RP's at a time, once I had like 10 on the go I think xD

I kind of like the idea, so dibs on being the ork representative.

I like the sound of this but depending when you start it will determine wether or not i join.

It's all kewl. For me, I'd usually be the marine. But that'd be one of the hardest parts to play :/ Pretty fun though, taking up all the room in the elavators :p

Well, I haven't actually decided what characters will be involved, but I will probably use Jansen Ragnar (still a novitiate)

The other characters will most likely be:

A single Tactical Marine Sergeant.
1 Commissar (If Nikev is interested, might have a single guardsman to accompany him)
An Eldar Warlock
An Ork or two. (standard boy/kommando)
Possibly a CM.

Orks would be difficult however as they would end up creating more Orks from spores.

TBH, I'm beggining to have doubts about the viability of the RP, what would happen in it? Would characters realise they were on ancient terra? What would happen when characters met? The Warlock might end up contacting pre-fall eldar. The SM wouldn't know what to do. Possibly most importantly: what would it all lead up to?

There are a multitude of reasons that would probably make the RP end in complete faliure... (sorry for being negative, but that's the way I see this RP panning out.)

I don't know about that; bearing in mind that ork spores will only generate orks if there is a strong ork presence on the planet, which there won't be. In fact, if we kept it as squad leaders rather than HQ's it could work nicely.

Hey, dude, DD, I don't wanna rush you or steal your idea or anything, but Attri isn't doing much ATM... so if you're not going to do much with this, atleast for the time being anyway, mind if I make my own RP for this? Cause I wanna get started!

Sorry, I'd rather you didn't as I'd find it difficult to participate in both RPs at once.

You must be a busy guy then... I find in incrediably easy.. once had about 7 RP's on the go for a different forum. Ah well, whatever works for you.

Time travel in 40k is entirely possible thanks to the randomness of the warp.

Also I doubt anyone would recognise it as ancient terra, probably some lost colonized human world that needs to be brought under the control of the Imperium or destroyed depending on their point of view.

Whatever happens, it'll be fun :p

As a suggestion it could be assumed that some Imperials somewhere in a facility where working on neutralizing Ork Spores and the Warp 'burped' and the ork was teleported with the successful desporazation to the past =/ just a suggestion......it is possible.
