Oh and so you don't worry the dreads guard the LR so if I roll a all is well. (Although I usually play the 45 degree arc FAQ version anyway)

C&C very welcome indeed

Drop lesser daemons (not only not IW they are terrible in those numbers, take 10-20 squads or take something else)
Change a lot of those flamers/plasma to melta. At 2500 pts there are so many powerful vehicles/tanks that you need all the melta you can get.

Chosen /w sorc - Interesting idea I guess. It does give that squad a lot more special weapons, but if you don't give them assault weapons you might as well forget it. Melta or flamer or a combination of the two would be best. Personally, I run my sorc with a squad of raptors so I'm not relying on a vehicle that can be easily killed to deliver my melta, but your version does get a lot more melta shots.

In the embrace of the great Nurgle, I am no longer afraid, for with His pestilential favour I have become that which I once most feared: Death.

List could have better wargear choice in areas but as a whole isn't too bad.

Tactic wise putting the sorcerer with the chosen isn't too good. See the sorcerer is c.c orientated and the chosen fire plasma; which they cannot assault after. So you have a assault character mixed with a shooting unit which isn't the best. If you want a c.c sorcerer try putting it in terminator armour with a small terminator squad; they're a lot better in combat.

Well the lesser daemons were and experimental idea for late objective grabbing but I suppose a ten man squad would do better (on a fluff note they will be represented by dark mech robot things)

@mercer:
Perhaps swapping Warptime on the sorc with bolt of change would be a more reasonable idea. The chosen squad is going to be a ''KILL THE 'ARD STUFF'' suicide style squad, like things with 2+ saves and carnifexes.

On the topic of the Chosen squad would swapping a plasma gun for a lascannon for some more anti-tank.

Not convinced on taking more meltas as there are not vehicle heavy armies or ones with lots of AV13-14 spam in my area, but this may change.

Any other design flaws to be seen

P.S.
How would this do against a list geared towards a tournament?

Chosen with a lascannon is a really bad idea. You want them mobile and up close and lascannons are neither of those things. Melta/flamer are the two very best with plasma a close third. Melta is extremely good at taking on monstrous creatures and 2+ saves and you don't need to worry about inflicting wounds on yourself and you can assault after firing. My point still stands about not putting your HQ with a suicide squad.

I have reservations about vindicators and dreadnoughts, but if you're going for a really fluffy army you could keep them. Vindicators I dislike because of their lack of a real backup weapon and their fairly high cost once you get daemonic possession (which is almost a must-have). Dreadnoughts have obvious problems and high cost for what they can do. They both add armor to your list which are great, but they also both eat up points that might be better spent elsewhere (ac/lc preds, defilers, another LR, more cult troops in rhinos /w melta/flamer, etc).

TBH I wouldn't put the sorcerer with them. The chosen are busting tanks and will be targeted for the fire power they put out; the sorcerer will die too. Adding botl of change isn't worth it as the sheer number of meltas will do the job. Put the sorcerer else where.

Don't swap the lascannon, because you'll be hanging back shooting and not getting the meltas into range.

In a tournament you have made target priority easy, you only have one land raider and minimum daemon units. I'd probably drop the dreadnoughts because they will fall behind and get a terminator unit and another land raider. Oh, and pop meltas on the chosen.
