How good are they, and do you have any advice in using them?

They're very good. One of the best units in the game. You can take 4 all with individual equippment to take advantage of wound allocation. They are very hard to kill with T5a 3+ save and a 5+ inv. Theyre immune to ID too, so demolishers wont help much. They will destroy anything they charge, except for walkers, which they should avoid. I hear from demons players that 2+ squads of 4 is good.

If we were to play each other in a tournament, not only would I table you, I would murder you, your family, every woman you ever loved and burn down your house. I mean, what's the point in winning if you allow people that don't take the game seriously to live?

I was just thinking "hey wait, they each have 2 wounds and eternal warrior!" I can see why they are such a total pain in the @$$ H*ll, they might even be more of a bullet magnet than my Thirsters or Princes. It would definitely put an aura of "Oh, cr@p." on the field. I'll have to rework my list so that I can include some

Regwon is right. The only thing I have to add is that I would also take a herald of khorne on a jugg and stick him in the group as well. That way you can have two squads of 5 crushers, each with different wargear for wound allocation.

The only disadvantage of them is that they are basically Assault termies without a Raider. That is to say they are slow after the intial deep strike. Smart players will just avoid them.

You can ignore a unit that cannot score in the mind that you could grab other objectives, however. Besides, they're way to expensive to just sit around and look scary. They need to kill something in the name of the Blood God!

@augustus
In order to get those Heralds I would have to drop a Blood Thirster. I know Blood Thirsters wreck the world with their awesome saucery, so that would be a tough choice indeed.

@Russell
It's tough to avoid something the deepstrikes right in front of you. If they're mounted that's a different story, however, if they're dismounted when the Bloodletters or crushers get there they will die quite rapidly

These are some very interesting points to consider. . .

Not to Blood Crusher, sez I... unless you're running a khorne-themed army.

Too big, too expensive, too slow, too easily avoided. I'd take fiends over crushers any day of the week.

Cool model, though...

On a related note...how does one crush blood?

In the embrace of the great Nurgle, I am no longer afraid, for with His pestilential favour I have become that which I once most feared: Death.

Technically speaking no metal is strong enough to compress water, though it would be very easy to crush red blood cells.

Blood crushers rock, but they have the same problem as most nids. They can eat infantry with ease, but most of the game is mech. If the rest of the demon list can't handle mech, kill walkers, and claim objectives then blood crushers alone won't win a game.

Chaos isn’t a pit. Chaos is a ladder. Many who try to climb it fail, and never get to try again. The fall breaks them. And some are given a chance to climb, but refuse. They cling to the realm, or love, or the gods…illusions. Only the ladder is real. The climb is all there is, but they’ll never know this. Not until it’s too late.

i'd say yes! they are slow, they are tough though, and one of the few units in the daemon army without grenades that can smile if they hit last due to charging into cover!

In my opinion they work well paired with another unit, my favourite combo's are either with letters (the enemy must choose who to kill but powerweapons will hit you somehow!)

The other is to pair them with flash hounds/fiends/seekers even nurglings to hold an enemy unit in place before you charge in.

As with the whole daemon army - synergy synergy synergy

Well, as it stands right now, I have 2 Blood Thirsters, and 3 Daemon Prince all with wings, in my list. Plus 12 screamers. That's all its own brand of anti tank

Bloodcrushers go well with any prince with the lash-whip ability (only 1d6" but still good) to make sure the Bloodcrushers can assault.
