From what I've seen you can get away with careful repositioning of some (not all) joints if you've airbrushed

probably not if you've brush painted

but generally I'd recommend playing with it for a while, then gluing most if not all of the joints (except the arms if you intend to swap weapons) before painting

How does the Crusader having all the functioning pistons affect painting it? Mainly considered about chipping etc.

They shouldn't chip. On the chest section, I left the bottom half mounted to the pelvis, the upper halves were done individually (I am widening the mounting hole slightly so I can get them to seat better). On the arms/feet, I've just fully extended them until they pop out, paint the inner stems up.

What I've learned thus far - paint this thing in sections I've been experimenting with weathering and whatnot today between conference calls. So far I'm really digging it

Here we have the Eisenkern APC variant Zeus and Loki.
Zeus the god of thunder is a fitting name for the APC equipped with a large caliber siege gun.
The second variant, named after Loki the god of mischief seems equally apropos.

This kit was offered to the Kickstarter backers and I am pleases to say the Loki variant will be included in the Zeus APC kit.

*The crew and spent shell casings were not included in these renders.

Even more reason to lament only having selected two APCs and one Zeus kit.

Yeah, it's sexy. I can already tell I'll be getting APCs for most of my squads. As if I haven't already had my wallet thoroughly molested by DFG.

I didn't love the Stuka zu Fuss, but the Zeus and now the Loki are the heat.

Runnin up on ya.

Any idea what the MSRP for these will be anybody?

Six mistakes mankind keeps making century after century: Believing that personal gain is made by crushing others; Worrying about things that cannot be changed or corrected; Insisting that a thing is impossible because we cannot accomplish it; Refusing to set aside trivial preferences; Neglecting development and refinement of the mind; Attempting to compel others to believe and live as we do

Love the Loki variant of the tank, this is the first we've seen of it!

Unfortunately, I'm starting to doubt Q2 and think Q3 . Just want to have it by August...

Will there be some type of option for a closed top variant?

I feel bad for not getting any, now. (Tann, please don't remind me yet again that you had the foresight to order a gazillion.)

From what Mark said, the APC and kits are almost all ready to go into production. It's the Black Widows and Assault troopers that have me worried, to be honest.

The basic APC is closed top. These versions were stretch goal optional additions to the basic closed top model.

I, once again, also lament missing out on this kick starter. Got back into the Hobby one month too late.

Seriously kicking myself over not pledging for at least one APC.

I seriously pushed my finances to the limit to begin with with just a couple of stormtrooper boxes and a Black widow boxes. I really wanted a 15mm Mortis, an APC, and some Valkir troopers as well.

Hopefully Mark/WGF offers up that coupon for KS-comparable prices at the end of the campaign. It'd go a long way to sweetening the long, long extended delays we're been waiting through.

I would need a massive, massive parking garage for all of the APCs I would buy.

COMING SOON, DREAMFORGE APC PARKING GARAGE KICKSTARTER.

Naturally, the parking garage will come with 20 different weapon options, be fully pose able with over 56 points of articulation, and be able to come up with a legitimate excuse for your significant other as to why you had to sell the house*.

*Dreamforge games does not recommend using the DREAMFORGE APC PARKING GARAGE as a substitute to regular housing

Well, I'm quite liking the previews he just shared - Zeus and Loki - though I feel like it should really be Thor and Loki - being variants on the same thing. But yeah, depending on price, I'd be down for 4 of that kit... or 6.

If we can lay on the guilt hard enough... ; )

DFG game is supposedly mech heavy with infantry as a supporting force, so you can bank on APC and leviathan quantity being pretty important.

Thor is what I have been kicking around for the Stuka Zu Fuss... Sooo much easier to say and remember. Actually it was a backer that made that suggestion some time ago. Big badabooms= the pounding of Thors hammer.

Any resemblance of this post to written English is purely coincidental.

I might be a bit anal here, but what about keeping the pantheons separate between factions? Odin works as well as Zeus, after all, and has a lot more of a Nordic flavour...

I was saving the Norse for my tanks It just seemed to make sense that more classically educated Germans from the WWI era might have gravitated to the Greek gods. The 3rd Reich never happened as they left earth well before that and the Norse mania that followed with the Reich.... At least it made sense to me

Norse gods were also Germanic gods. The asir are represented heavily in Germanic myth. Thursday is Thor's day, a day to honor the god of thunder. In German its donnerstag, literally thunder day. To me, this APC is more of a Sleipner than Zeus
Sleipnir for anyone who is interested

We do already have some greek influence with the naming schema - the Mortis... although secretly I just call mine Totenkopfmaschine

If you wanted to stick with Greek on the APC, I would suggest Prometheus. He brought the fire, after all.

As a meta-joke it amuses me that Prometheus is associated in GW-land with the Promethean cult which is the Salamanders chapter and the GW's Salamander vehicle does bear a passing resemblance...

I know we joke around... but knowing what I do now about the quality of Marks' work, I'd totally buy terrain from him in a heart beat. Having a bunker with the same theme as everything thus far? EPIC.
