That's a lot of different themes in one model. Each limb has a different story to tell, as does the torso. The head seems to have at least two, with the hair and the eye mask. And the servitors.

Efficiency is the highest virtue.

Dang, if this isn't one of the nicest minis GW have pushed out in a hot minute. Absolutely love it. There are some excellent little dudes from FW from Necromunda, really gotta try picking more up, especially as they're essentially the same price as normal GW in Japan.

It is a good model though

I love the art too, but it doesn't look like a particularly feminine hand attached to her in the art.
I wouldn't be surprised if it was just a trophy.

Yeah. I like a lot of the details individually, but I’m not sold on the full model.

Absolutely love this model! The archaic style of the nobility contrasts nicely against the house gangs.

That's... nice? Definitely one of the few cases where combat heels make sense, in a total style-over-substance way.

That is a stunning model. I do so hope the noble house retinues might be adapted to serve as the updated form of Spyrers - and that they all get models as good as her.

Rebel Lord (version 2 from N20) is armed with bolt pistol or master-crafted needle pistol. This model seems to have neither?

The Fallen Houses alliance is available to any outlaw gang. The main perk is the fighter itself (similar to an Orlock leader). Other than that, the gang will gain additional credits (and possibly reputation) when winning battles against Enforcers, law-abiding gangs and gangs allied with non-outlaw alliances (law-abiding alliances, Guilds, or neutral alliances, nobles).

The downside is you always have to pay D3x10 after each battle (or test the alliance). Orlock receive a very small bonus via "Strong Alliance" rules, allowing them to ignore the first alliance test.

Yeah look like model designer either didn't bother to change the design or he just lives on a different planet away from the rule writer.

At least she does have a gun, it wouldn't be much of a stretch to say it's one or the other.

Really cool sculpt with slightly weird posing, but that might just be the angle. Looking forward to seeing this in 3D.

Or tried looking up the rules but unable to find it in the 18 different books.

Actually, the wargear seems to be a mix of both Rebel Lord v1 (N19) and Rebel Lord v2 (N20)! The original can have 2x (master-crafted) las pistols. The latter can have power sword. The artwork in Orlock book also shows a different male 'Credo' rebel lord armed with thunder hammer (a new option according to v2).

The Rebel Lord in Book of Judgement has the option of 4 Digi-lasers (which probably are represented by the Servo-skulls and the apparatus in her hair), and can add either 2 las pistols and a Stilleto sword, or a bolt pistol and a thunder hammer.

I would guess they took the weapons she wields from this book, since I think it is the first appearance of this artwork. The lack of a second las pistol could just be because she has hid it in her gear, or it might be on the other side of the model.

Well if he lived on the same planet and timeline as the rule writer he could just..... asks him directly, maybe passing the design to the rule writer before sending them for production, pretty basic stuff.

Are you saying this new box doesn’t have those things? Campaign or trade post?

So turn out the new "starter" box is only good for people who want to hoard ZM walls and columns, woah just as I predicted.

Sorry I just saw a photo of the table of contents posted at yaktribe:

Looks pretty standard to me, only new stuff I'm able to spot are the scenarios.

DU looked better for this purpose to me. I'm a big fan of Necro terrain and tbh at £90 this box doesn't appeal to me, the terrain:minis ratio isn't great for terrain hoarders imo.

Do the scenarios look like fun?
Adaptable to use generically?

The names sound similar to several of the 80 existing scenarios. So many of them are easily won by regular shootout (destroy the enemy, ignore all objectives), or, in an attempt to fix this, the loser can bottle and flee to prevent the opponent from winning or gaining certain rewards. We get a lot of scenarios, but none of them works well.

I'm not sure if GW wants to put campaign rewards (XP, credits, rep) into the scenarios if the book otherwise doesn't deal with these aspects. If not, then you would want to house-rule some campaign rewards to them (should be easy given the plethora of scenarios we already have). It might just be that these scenarios are made to fit the small size of the mat included in the box?

I just had to take a wild guess that the house list didn't include any new units already released from "gang codex". At least I'd expect the unit to be up to date and not a straight copy paste from GotU. Also I didn't see the skills list in table of content but I expect them to be decent enough to include all the basic one?

So this "Starter" is more like a 150USD demo version of the game with extremely limited feature, imo this probably do more harm than good if they want to attract new players to the game.

Well, no campaign, no trading post. Looks like a hard pass from me. Thanks for saving me some cash to give to another company GW!

The tactics cards doesn't look to be anything spectacular:

Looks like 2x11 cards, all reprints from the 2017 starter box except a few cards that are from the first Escher & Goliath card packs. Most notable change is 'Gas Trap' is changed from Escher only to universal. All other cards were universal originally and remain universal here. GW went through the trouble of actually improving a lot of the wordings on these cards (so many of the original cards had nonsense wordings). Nice for those who didn't have these cards, but if you're starting to collect cards now, you'd be better off printing them yourself because most other cards are OOP. There are several complete collections openly available online.

Sure, you could say she's doing a squat.
Spoiler:

Or... someone just messed up her proportions.

Now granted, fixing the slip up would make her a giantess, but hey, I hear extremely large noblewomen are all the rage these days.

Oh, I agree her proportions are off, or at least she is photographed at a strange angle to really grasp them. Looking at the pic though, note that her left high heel isn't on the ground, but quite far off the ground. Now, possibly that is a hard fold of the dress, or something else hanging around back there so we won't know till we have other angles, but it looks like she is really far up on her front left toes. So, unless her leg really is digitigrade, her left leg must be heavily folded.

I like the model in a lot of ways, but I really want to get my hands on one just to figure out what the hell they managed to do there, even though the answer is probably just "fethed up the proportions".

Christ, now that you mentioned how far her left high heel is above the ground, it really does start to look horribly wrong on some level.
