This is not a "why don't you want to", but for those of us that got screwed, wanted to play but can't, what went wrong?
For me, my boss made this week's schedule not noticing that the other assistant manager had asked for 2 weeks of vacation off, put into the book about two months ago. With no other replacements, I had to get scheduled to work this Saturday.
Friend of mine just got a promotion to a new position that requires him to work Saturdays - while he can request the occasional one off, he JUST got the promotion, so he can't get one free for a while.
How about the rest of you? Had a baby? No money to travel? Car broke down? Army melted down in a freak steel mill accident? Let's hear it!

I'M going, but one of the players that comes to our FLGS can't because his sister had to go and have a wedding on 'ard boyz weekend. He tried telling her that he had the game planned for far longer than she had the wedding, but she wouldn't budge on the date! What a tart! lmao
|

I had a conflict with the Boston Brawl, but did a bunch of legwork and managed to convince a store that wasn't running it to hold one on Friday. Yay, me!

Not enough slots available in the local stores meaning a 3+ hour drive to the next location, which is also booked full. I figure that I'll bring an army and see if anyone wants to play after the tournament.

Was enlightened to the fact that the 'Ard Boyz prelim top prize was a $60 box set, while the Boston Brawl has a couple grand in possible prizes, and has a "fully painted army" requirement

Can go to prelims, but can't make semis. I'm taking my teacher exams (PRAXIS Content Knowledge and Concepts and Processes for those who know.)

well I ordered a pack of six melta guns and I need all six for my army and they told me my oder is delayed till next week WTF!!! im in the process of converting makeshift meltas from bolters and green stuff lol do you think they will alow that?

Not at all, im using the money to buy an army case and pay for two local events during the 3 weeks after ard boyz. I have eldar as my only 2500 point army, and they have no chance of winning even semi finals. As such I decided to make money.
