So, I'm signed up for the next round of the Ard Boyz Semis. Bringing the Chester out to play seems like a good idea. Just thought I'd see if anyone had any suggestions.
HQ: Skulltaker /w Juggernaut of Khorne
HQ: Herald of Khorne /w Fury of Khorne, Juggernaut of Khorne, Unholy Might

FA: 6 Screamers of Tzeentch
HS: Daemon Prince /w Iron Hide, Mark of Slaanesh, Pavane of Slaanesh
HS: Soul Grinder /w Tongue
HS: Soul Grinder /w Tongue
Main areas I see where changes can happen are either in dropping a bloodcrusher or two, or dropping the screamers, and adding more troops. Another potential change would be to change the daemon prince for a third soul grinder /w tongue, if I could find the points. Thoughts?

Is one unit of 6 screamers better than two of three? Does that put your deep strike numbers off?
I think I prefer the two units, they're easier to hide and can potentially hit more targets. I'm not sure the KP difference matters much to your list.
Other than that - you've played this in round one. Is 'the Chester' that necessary? Could two of the heralds swap out to be tzeentch chariots, or does that dilute the purpose of that unit too much?

Even number of units as is, so I suppose in theory I could split them into two units of three. Worth some playtesting next weekend, I suppose. Could be useful.

Pretty much. One of the major strengths of the Chester is the ability to theoretically soak 12 wounds before I have to remove a single model. In addition, the need to deal with the potential of massed land raiders means that I need lots of units that can realistically penetrate AV14. With 3 Heralds of Khorne, I have 15 S7 Rending attacks on the charge. It's also necessary to be able to deal with the Bloodcrusher's normal bane: AV12+ walkers. Having the unit tied up for multiple turns slowly being ground away isn't on my daily planner...and having 5 models with rending means I can stomp walkers. I might be able to get away with losing a bloodcrusher or two, but the question then becomes what do I get in return.

As redbeard suggested:
2 units of 3 seems like they would help you out some more.

Now that I think of it, the main reason I ran them as 1 squad of 6 was because of mission #3. Probably will split them.

It is a bit of a point sink, but putting wings on that slaanesh DP helps a lot. It can bounce around directing units, and if it has to it can jump 12" pavaane a unit, and then charge it.
Curious on that ball of B. Crusher death, do lash princes cause problems for that list as they just have to "throw" the crusher unit back, or do you split it up when facing chaos.

For 60 points, wings are really too expensive. I'd have to drop one of the troop squads, and I'm not willing to do that. Against Lash Princes, I might split the unit, or I might just trust in target saturation. Its situational. I usually drop the crushers, fiends, prince, and grinders together...and that's a lot of units for any army to engage effectively. But with mech so prevalent these days, I see lash much less frequently.

Well, then your list seems as far as it will go for your list type. Good luck at the semi-finals!

Thanks. Maybe I'll try splitting the Bloodletters into two squads.
