So here is the full story I am in the mood for a summer project but only have the money for one so two armies is not an economically viable option for me right now.

I was going to do a CSM army either counts as BA or just run them as standard CSM I wasn't sure.
This is a link to the project Blog I had started up to document it.

Now my FLGS is going to be holding a WHFB grow league just after the launch of the new rule set. I have been tempted to get into WHFB before but the club had marginal interest in it. Now it seems as if several people are on board and I will have an opportunity to play against several opponents.

Now here is the debate I have three 40K armies currently so the temptation to do something different is pretty high. I am also afraid that after the initial oh wow this is cool, WHFB is going to pitter out and no one is going to be playing.

I have vastly too much free time as of late and REALLY need a project to burn some of that time on. I am completely indecisive what do you all think?

Go with WHFB. Worst case scenario: You end up selling the lot on E-Bay.

Best case scenario: There's a community for both after summer.

I already get to mould the minds of children, so effecting decisions in your life by poll vote seems a bit... dross.

Go for WHFB. Then you know how to play two games. I feel your pain, I want a Mordian guard army, but I'm putting it on hold for a WHFB Tomb Kings army when the new rulebook arrives, so I can learn to play fantasy with a few of my mates (that way we can all be noobs together, see ).

You can always borrow a 40k army if you want to play that, but knowing two games is definitely a good thing.

Well I play WM/H as well, and I played WHFB a little bit but I am always hesitant as I do not want to invest a relatively large sum of money and time into a game that I can't play.

Fair enough, and ultimately it's your call, but by the sounds you should have some players around fairly soon, and if all falls over then, as mentioned above, you can sell them.

Just my point of view though, it's up to you. Good luck either way!

I would say go for WHFB. That way after the summer BOTH games have some backing!

This.

WHFB needs a bit of a backing to really get off the ground in most areas.

Go with fantasy Chaos. Even if it falls through, you've still got tons of bits for the bits god when you pick the 40K Chaos back up.
