If you put the MoT on a unit of bikers, it would give them a 5+ invulnderable save. However, if the unit already has a Inv save, it adds +1 to it.
So would bikers get the 5+ inv save standard, and then when they turbo they get a 2+ inv save?
Shoot, I thought I put this in YMDC, sorry.

This isn't really a Proposed Rule just fyi.
No, they don't get a 2+ save from turbo boosting, as the save conferred by Turbo Boost is a COVER save, not an invulnerable save.

Yeah, already alerted a mod about that, I really need to start paying attention to that, it's what, my third time in a month?
Thanks for the answer, I don't know why I was thinking it was an Inv save.

It used to be an Inv save in the last edition, and tzneetch bikers did indeed get a 2+ inv save when they turbo'd. Then GW came to their senses and made it a cover save.

If we were to play each other in a tournament, not only would I table you, I would murder you, your family, every woman you ever loved and burn down your house. I mean, what's the point in winning if you allow people that don't take the game seriously to live? |

Yes, it did used to BECOME an Invulnerable save. The upshot was if you fired Psycannons at Turboing SM Bikers, they died like flies!

KK, thanks everyone. I'm planning on Daemon bombing my next opponent (Tau) so my marines can move up unmolested, and was wondering if MoN or MoT would have been better. Since the Tzeentch wouldn't do much after they have delivered their payload, I'll be going with Nurgles blessing over tzeentches.

Well... why not just run it stock bikers.
You want to maximize being out of line of sight, rather than upping their durability because what is likely is no matter how tough, they will need to die.
|
This is a little story about four people named Everybody, Somebody, Anybody, and Nobody.
There was an important job to be done and Everybody was sure that Somebody would do it.
Anybody could have done it, but Nobody did it.
Somebody got angry about that because it was Everybody's job.
Everybody thought that Anybody could do it, but Nobody realized that Everybody wouldn't do it.
It ended up that Everybody blamed Somebody when Nobody did what Anybody could have done.

My list is:
1 Sorcerer, Gift of Chaos. 130 pts
9 Marines, Meltagun 145pts
2U 10 Marines, IoCG, Champ 350 pts
4 Bikes, IoN 182 pts
8 daemons 104pts
7 daemons 91 pts
1002pts
I am wanting them to be extra hardy so they have a higher chance of getting that second unit of daemons out. They will still stay in cover/out of sight as much as possible, but still.
(In my Gaming group, we don't much care if your only 1-5 pts over the limit, as long as you let your opponent know so he can match you)
