lol 400 dollars. the person who is selling this is:
A. a kid whose mom tells him that he is special, unique, perfect, etc

B. a person counting on people to look only at the first picture so they dont get a good look.

C. a person with too much self-esteem

cool idea though.

There was apparently a HUGE deep strike mishap- and those figs all deviated right into the Suck-Bucket.

Seriously- they look like they were dipped in white house paint.

I understand that someone loves them and put some effort into them- but you have to be realistic when you slap a 400$ minimum on something like that.

The effort required to make those figs usable- drops the value immensely. I might pay 40$ tops. cant see what sort of assembly mess is under that super think paint.

I might be missing the super huge picture, but the one I saw, you cant really see all that well. I agree on $400 is steep for that.....incredibly so. But it might look decent up close, not $400 decent, but retail decent anyways

Wow, the close-ups are terrible. These may be the ugliest painted marines I've ever seen.

Now, if any of you have ever read any of my other posts you'll know that i don't do negative, i'm always happy to help and give praise, but.....................

These need striping or better yet, melting down. I would love to know how they came to $400 though, should be an interesting story.

The seller also has several other army lots for sale all with very very horrible paint jobs. Apparently they never got the thin your paints and shading/highlighting memos.

It looks like he just dumped house paint on some of his mini's, one of his "stormtroopers" legs are stuck together in a blob of paint.

This painting is bad at best its quite the outrage for the price.

What's even funnier is some of the guy's other auctions.

Including the "ultra rare OOP Space Wolves 13th Company"

At least they're not listed as 'pro painted'. If he didn't provide pictures I'd go along with the bashing but the auction is up-front an honest. Don't buy it if you don't think it's worth it but there's no need to be so harsh. Some people are better than others at painting and I've definitely seen worse.

+1 to the seller for having balls the size of planets. I'd love to see if anybody actually buys this lot. I'd pay a hundred for the army just to strip them all and use the bits. I do kind of wonder though, most of his other auctions are for comics so maybe he really has no idea how crappy this paint job is?

I like the sith figure, who's lightsaber grows straight out of his hand and who has a huge gash in his model's chest.

These detract from both 40k and starwars, well-done!

The AT-ST sentinel conversion is actually pretty cool, if not painted well...

There seems to be a lot of armies of various crappiness, and some not that bad + lots of comics. It could be a "comik book store guy" that also sell and buy kids armies second hand (the fenomena exists in my town). And since he dont really know the worth of GW stuff, he just calculates the price for an equal army bought from GW, and add some because its already painted. Or something (also explain the bold closeups

Edit. If so, I hope he buy this stuff for 200, and think hes going to dubble it on e bay (most likely not thoug)

Also- as poorly painted as they are- theres not telling what sort of assembly nightmares are hidden beneath all that paint. So that makes it a gamble on seriously devalued figs.

It looks like the seller is a comic shop, with little or no knowledge about gaming stuff.

Whats sad is they went to alot of effort to list it- all those pics & such. If only the same level of effort went into the paint...

I find the funniest one the "At-St" Sentinal. It's not even painted to look like an AT-ST; chicken walkers are grey!

One of the black troopers actually has crisp painting on the shoulders, eyes, and symbol. I think he might have been drunk painting that one.

Would it even strip off? Looks like latex house paint. Ya' know I feel kinda like a jerk for pointing out a mould line on an otherwise nice mini. The bar has just been lowered.

I feel sorry for the kid who did this. He's either really young or has a mental defect. And the worst part is, he thought he could sell it so pricey. Either he's blind or his mum insisted it was good painting and that he could sell it for so much.
Chicken walker looks half decent, though. Apart from the crappy painting.

But come on, be nice to him.It might be some very important models to him, it might be his birthday presents or even some gifts from his dead relatives.Or maybe he is selling it for some VERY important reasons that requires money.
