In most local tourneys anything goes.

In GW stores or 'ardboyz its 60% or more Citadel parts.

As long as it is to show a real model and doesn't have made up rules it should be fine.

Dark Angels 12,000 Points
Nurgle 2,000 Points
Imperial Guard 10,000 Points
Daemon Hunters 2,000 Points
Tau 2,500 points

yes; not to mention it impresses people more when you say that a model you have was modeled by hand.

I always looked at it this way GS is a Citadel Product (or can be) so it counts towards the 60%.

Usually comes down to what rules the TO has set. If it's GW 60% have to be citadel. Whether it's a huge or small tournament, it makes no difference.

Usually though they should let you, but it doesn't hurt to double check it with the TO.

Check with the TO. Every store/tournament will be different.

Some will allow 100% non GW, some will want 99/100% GW.

The final decision always rests with the Tournament Organiser.

It would greatly surprise me if a TO did not allow models with Greenstuff adaptations.

If you are making entirely new models out of 100% putty it would be different.

I'm writing a load of fiction. My latest story starts here... This is the index of all the stories...

We're not very big on official rules. Rules lead to people looking for loopholes. What's here is about it.

Is that per model or the whole force, because my Beastlord is bought from Avatars of War and much of my orkydom is scrap-made... =o

I won't bother.

Ask the staff!

Sometimes, if they have the space they will be happy to put anyone's stuff in the display cases. If your local store is quite small though, they will pick their display stuff based on the quality of painting and the overall feel of the army. I don't mean to dis-hearten you when i say this, but they are unlikely to put more space marines on display just because they are painted a different colour/have some GS work on them: Most GW's I've visited have at least three SM armies in their cabinets already.

What's the standard of painting like at your local GW compared to your own? If it's pretty high, you may find it takes a while before you get up to a high enough standard for display work. As a bonus though, there are going to be a lot of people you can ask for advice and tips! Best of luck

The chances of this happening are Nil.

Post your idea in the proposed rules forum to get some feedback, and feel free to use them in games if your opponent agrees to your rules.

I seriously doubt that your ideas are any better than the ones that GW comes up with and, besides, it's their IP, not yours.

Automatically Appended Next Post:
OK, maybe that's overly harsh....

....If you want your ideas to be taken up by GW you will have to pursue a career in games design and get into GW at some point.

Not a chance in my opinion.

They're not going to be legal. Ever. GW will never make your made-up rules legal.

From your posting style I'd guess you are 12 ish? Try to use capitalization and punctuation on the internet, it goes a long way towards people taking you seriously.

And no offense, but unless you are some genius child prodigy there is no way that your custom sculpted space marines would make "amature theives" try to copy you.

Feel free to post your creations on Dakka! Nobody will steal them, lol.

Also the word you are looking for is probably Chapter, not Legion.

Are you sure? Your profile info says that your age is -1, and my little brother writes better than you.

Back on topic, I can see no chance of GW ever making your models legal, or anyone ever stealing your designs, so just post your minis up.
