Pen and paper everytime. Sometimes I might then transfer it onto a fancy sheet, (mainly for games like Mordheim) but during construction always on a pad.

Lone Wolf's Army Builder.

seriously worth every penny I spent on it.

After the orbital strikes, Thunderhawk bombardments, Whirlwinds, Vindicators, fusion and starfire and finally Battle Brothers with flamers had finished cleansing the world of all the enemies of Man, we built a monastery in the center of the largest, most radioactive impact crater. We named the planet "Tranquility", for it was very quiet now.

When I am at home or have my lappy handy, then it's lone wolf all the way, just because it is so easy to use and play around with the list.

Otherwise, pen and paper wok fine.

ArmyBuilder, but I'm getting more and more frustrated with it. Stupid licencing rules and inept list updaters are getting to the point where I'm about to write my own online version that can be accessed anywhere.

I use army builder but also use the good ole' pen and paper method at times as well.

If ever there was a poll which should have been multiple choice...

I use Army Builder for 40K and Fantasy, but can't stand using it for Warmachine. For that, iBodger or using paper and cards is so much simpler.

Spreadsheets, which I add necessary formulas to.

I was actually surprised that not as many people did this as everyone in my group does. My list ideas always start on paper though.

Whatever I have avalible at the time will suffice, but once I'm ready to actually play the army it goes into a spreadsheet.

Pen and paper all the way. It usually makes me the only guy with a non-army builder list, but I still type it up, convert it to pdf and print it when I'm going to an event.
