Xtapl, you and I essentially agree: it's all about expectation. I doubt you'd complain about anything at a gladiator, and I have no problem toning down lists for tournaments that specifically say what is and isn't desired for attendance. (for example, I lower my magic for the colonial, and am not taking my RAF to the Marauder, specifically because the organizers said they don't want those kinds of armies).

But if the "default" for the tournament isn't specifically expressed and enforced, I'm bringing whatever the heck I please.

Regardless, I truly look forward to playing you someday, if only to hear the post game whines about how it was my army that crushed you and not me. Then we can all reference your zillion posts on how you always own cheeseball lists with your superior tactics. Personally, I've found people take boasting much more seriously and find it much more interesting when you can back it up with actual results.

The world is quiet here.

Call me a cheater if you want, but I firmly believe sportsmanship starts the moment you open your codex, and if you don't like the score I give you, bring a different army next time. You knew what your army was like when you left the house. Don't come crying to me when you get what you deserve. Who am I to judge your list? The guy empowered by the scorecard with the power to judge your list. As far as I'm concerned, the only person's whose opinion of my army composition that matters is my opponent's. The only person whose opinion of your army composition that matters is me. That's how it is. Don't like it? Tough sh*t. Stay home, then.

Mauleed: I know we essentially agree. We are both relatively intelligent, thinking adults. 2112, I'm not so sure about. Sounds an awful lot like one of the twelve year olds I mentor most of the time. Good kid, but man, he never knows what he's talking about. At any rate, I look forward to meeting you one day as well. Rest assured, if you beat me fair and square, you'll get a handshake across the table, and an honest, public congratulations for a game well played. I expect the same in return. Hopefully, it'll be at the end of the Eldar challenge, when we'll get to see if you can actually win without crutches. Then again, I'll be playing with your list, so I'll be the one on crutches, and I don't know if I'll savor the win quite as much. I might have to duplicate the list I give you when we meet, just so we're on even ground.

As for results, well, mine speak for themselves. I may not have seven billion undefeated tournament wins like you do, but then again, I rarely land outside of the top three at any particular tournament (see GW's website for examples), and I play without training wheels, unlike you.

How many assault cannons are you running in your drop pod list? Yeah, I thought so...

Hey, I think we both know I can take out a few assault cannons and maybe lose a few games, then my performance will only be as good as yours. But what would that prove?

Again, you're about the 100th guy to say "anyone can do what you do" yet never be able to reference another person that has.

That sounds like more fun than the P3 challenge.

Drano doesn't exactly scream "toy" to me.

Wow xtapl, you really are a d**k. I post in response to you using the same tone and the same choice of words and you have the nerve to come back and call me a 12 year old? This in the same post where you say "That's how it is. Don't like it? Tough sh*t. Stay home, then." I think you are the 12 year old. Why don't you go back and read what you wrote.

You say that you are going to tank people on comps before even playing them. I would call someone who does that an a-hole. You remind me of the guy at the local game store that people fear will show up at each league or event. It's not fear of such a superior player. Just fear that they will get stuck playing an arrogant a-hole like yourself.

You mentor people? What do you teach them? How to lose with a nice looking army and how to be a social slow? You seem to excel at the later.

Are you still talking?

Jeezus, dude. Take the hint. I'm not interested in your opinion.
