H.M.B.C, they all banned me for trolling, spamming and creating clone accounts to continue trolling. So I know why I was banned from them. Batcommander, im not making up these rules. They are all written on page 38. Anything that is written in the rulebook is a rule. Death_wing, I wrote the rule in myself, in pen. I am using Ultramarines, 1500pts, with 12 assault cannons. Basically, the list is... 3 Dreads with axtra armour and assault cannons. 3 Whirlwinds. 9 Tornados with assault cannons. 2 scout squads, one has a heavy bolter, both are 5 men. A commander with no equippment. So, aside from the dreads CC weapons, which I would have to get very lucky on, I cannot damage a monolith. So its only fair that assault cannons can damage monoliths. Phryris, please be a bit more constructive in future. Nobody, I do play walking grey knights with 3 dreadnoughts, but thats not the army I was refering to when typing this. I was refering to my 12 assault cannon marine army. But yea, its gonna apply to both armies, otherwise my grey knights cant harm em either. Oh, and I do lose with grey knights. Its just with my ultramarines that I never lose. Me_person has it correct. I have written rules on page 38, which as they are written in the rulebook, now become rules.

Holy crap, you cant say stuff like that, my irony monitor can only take so much. You, who hand write rules into the rulebook and then play by them, are gong to educate other people on the rules? Wow, I have no way of dealing with this, its just that far off reality. I hope you find a new forum soon, cuz youre about to increment that list of yours.

I think it applies perfectly to you and your undefeated Ultramarines. http://dakkadakka.com/Forums/tabid/56/forumid/7/postid/94775/view/topic/Default.aspx The one thing i don't get about all of this thread is why everyone else is still replying to it. Its perfectly obvious that burnthexenos is just courting controversy to get attention. Just ignore him and his special rulebook. Back to the original topic, no you can't rend a monolith. Hence why you should take some lascannons in your army.

hotflungwok, nothing in the rulebook says you cant write rules in and pass them off as real rules. Anything thats in the rulebook is a rule. So my rules are as official as the "breaking from close combat" rules. Dice monkey, the warhammer forum was the worst! Queek loves hitting the "ban" button!! Fallen angel, im not just replying to posts for the hell of it, its so I can educate you people on the rules. You dont seem to know them.

Posted By burnthexenos on 09/04/2006 6:27 AM Death_wing, I wrote the rule in myself, in pen. What so that makes it a rule? Damn I must be some type of hard core newbie or a complete idiot! But seriously WTF you on boy? Changing rules around to fit your own needs. You must sit around all day thinking up reasons on ho0w you can piss people off as much as possible. I’m sorry if this offends people but I think it must be said. I'm away from this forum for a little while and people start spamming with pointless crap, then have the gall to taunt rational people!

As a rule of thumb, the designers do not hide "easter eggs" in the rules. If clever reading is required to unlock some sort of hidden option, then it is most likely the result of wishful thinking.

He doesn't actually write rules in pen into page 38 of his rulebook. Don't fall for his silly charade. Burnthexenos thinks he's being clever, and is getting a hell of a lot of fun from this as everyone reacts to his posts. He's probably just some daft 15-year-old on their father's 'net connection thinking that he's really funny. He doesn't believe anything he says - he just wants us to believe that he believes it. BYE

People are going to hate me for this, seeing as I only have 5 posts, but burnthexenos wasn't the worst part of this. It was all the people who replied to the daft bastard when it was obvious that he only wanted to pull the bollocks out of you. "Ignore the fool, destroy the fool." Read that in Tactica Imperia somewhere. This is why I don't normally post.
Back to the point, Living metal limits everyone to 1d6+str for armour penitration purposes so rending is out because you add extra dice, same thing with melta. However Ordinance still get two roll two dice and pick the highest - it was intended to show the sheer power ordinace possess at it's impact point. Tank hunter doesn't work because in the discription it says that the firer finds a weak spot on the vehicle - exposed fuel pipe, window slit, badly placed self destruct lever - but a monolith has none of these.
Furious Charge on the other hand can go either way as it gives plus 1 to the chargers str not plus 1 to the armour pen roll. But I could and have seen the other argument saying that it shoudn't. However my gaming group normally plays with allowing furious charging pissed off veteran Sargeant with a powerfist to get his str 9 attacks against the monolith. [Which sometimes leads to an angry Veteran jumptrooper with a powerfist stepping up to the situation and playing Harlem Globetrotter with the warmachine and prision raping it before getting gunned down by destroyers or a Lord with a Warsythe] Good times

I am truely curious. Burn, what is your rational to allowing assault cannons to work against Monoliths if melta and and other +d6 weapons dont work? The other question I have is how could you not consider playing Necron players that have monoliths? Marine armies can make quick work of just about any other army configuration of played properly so why fear them?
