Gee Redstripe, if you took out the company names, I'd think you were talking about GW about 10 years ago, when they too were a 'smaller' company.  GW did the same stuff that PP is doing: listen to players, tourny support, outriders, etc.

Like 2.0 said, PP can afford to, because they're small.  Wait till they've been around for awhile (if they're still around in 25 or so years).

On the flip side, its nice to see PP following the GW business model: more rulebooks, more editions, more armies, more minis, yada yada.  The only difference is that PPs are a little less expensive (for now).  Come and talk to me when PP has 14 different armies (and I don't mean combos or variants of a particular army) for one game system.  Then does it on 2 major systems.

The wargame landscape is littered with the corpses of games companies that 'got it', and 'listened to their customers', just like all the FLGS that go down the toilet because they were a 'club to hang out in' rather than a business.  PP is a business, just give them time...

All of that stuff should be in there, with the possible exception of Warjack Bonds.

Matt confirmed Bonds will be in there too in the PP forums. Looks like its a beautifully updated book.

Hahahaha- that's exactly what I said when he told me he split the thread

Does that mean he can isolate troublemakers? /cringe

I don't know if I'd buy both books. I'm buyng the softcover for play. Beyond that I'm
already far too strapped to get anything more.

I'll pick up the new book, it will be easier to carry than the 4 books. I can't complain about prices any more I bought the plastic terminators.

Prime Remix won't have any of the rules for the units, just the core rules.  You'll still need to carry four books unless you want to rely solely on the cards.

Thats what those cards are for anyway ? So whats the problem Ghaz ? You dont want to admit that those four books are still cheaper then all the codexes combined ?

I really dont see the problem.

The cards plus Prime remix is all you will need to play. I rarely if ever use my books to look up the units during play, its all on the cards.

The cards really are clever. They also allow PP to release new units before books are even printed. Many of the units in Superiority were released and playable before the book came out.

I agree with others here, once Remix is out, all you need is that and the cards for your force. Your opponent will have the cards for his/her force, and all rules will be at the table.

And whoever said anything about the four books not being cheaper?  I was just clarifying that Remix would only have the units from Prime.  If he wants to rely on just the cards that's his perogative and there's nothing wrong with that.  If he doesn't, then he will still need four books.

It seems the only person trying to cause problems is another PP fanboy trying to create a reason to slam GW again.

Yup, though I have never (to my knowlege) read a sticker of text in a GW rulebook.

Then you have never payed attention. those Chapter approved books/annuals had cutouts you had to stick in yourself....

Hope more old fools come to their senses and start giving you their money instead of those Union Jack Blood suckers...
