Yep. This is not a limited run model. As was said above if people keep buying then they will keep making them. There is also a size comparison next to a Behemoth, the company's single largest <and heaviest> model, also priced at $50. This thing is just a little larger from base to top of hand.
It was also mentioned that if demand became high enough and it was feasible to do, PP would also consider making other Extreme variants of the other Hordes basic box heavies: Titan Gladiatior, Carnivean, and Warpwolf <which would make me happy>.
Much like the Katrina Vlad, I have a feeling people will be buying this one just to add it to their collection as a centerpiece.

I won't buy it, but I WOULD love a Warpwolf and Carnivean, and Gladiator extreme model. Too cool.

What was the Forge world crack about then? its leaves a lot to interpretation so don't be surprised when people do just that...and interpret what you write. Large expensive collectable miniatures that are not necessary to the game. That is what the 'Forgeworld' crack means, thank you very much. It doesn't mean that I expected it to be cheaper than the production model.

Sorry, Ghaz... but a Mauler that huge and disgruntled IS necessary to the game. Hehe... at least it's not made of resin. You could club someone with that thing.

Well at least in this case you can use it with the card for the "standard" model so its not the exact same as Forge World.

It would cost more to mass produce this, PPress has said as much on their forums. They said if they sent it to retail vs selling it at the current demand online only, the MSRP would be at least $75 to cover their NORMAL profit margin. That includes packaging, stocking, shipping to retailers, etc etc. They are not doing that for this particular model. That is where I am getting "Limited Ed/Run" and that's why it would cost MORE if it was mass produced and sent to retail. They will not be making these models like they are their normal lines, period. To me that would also constitute "Limited Edition" Thank you. Edit: And since the only place you can get one is on the PPress Store, gamers over seas would have to wait to catch one on eBay or pay some seriously high shipping costs to get it from the US. Kind of like how GW has those exclusive figures only at gamesday, or the UK Bugman's place etc.... for the US gamers to get one, they have to fly to the UK, buy them off eBay at "Limited Ed" prices or pay for the shipping.

I like the original better. The angles are all screwy, but it could also be the paintjob. Head is a bit wonky to. I'd have to see it up close to know for sure, but I'm not that impressed atm.

Sweet! If I played trolls I'd pick it up in anticipation of a Dire Troll "warbeast of renown" in Evolution. Well, I'd use that as the excuse anyway...

I kinda want to pick it up, but my four standard dire trolls would look ridiculous next to it (let alone the 8 pygs I plan to buy).

Well at least in this case you can use it with the card for the "standard" model so its not the exact same as Forge World. And you can use any of a number of the Forgeworld Leman Russ variants as a normal Russ as well. Another similarity to Forgeworld is that it is only available directly through their online store and not at any other Warmachine retailers.
