There's nothing to complain about yet.....

And if that's all you want this forum to be, then no wonder your readership has declined. I have visited Dakka for years and the content was so worthwhile I didn't feel the need to comment.

Now it seems that every time that I come here I'm reading someone smartassing Privateer or GW.

Love it or leave it, Amadeus!

But in our defense, GW and PP have done some boneheaded things that warrant smartassery, y'know?

In case I missed it actually being stated above, PP is creating a little 'fun' game in the next NQ that will be something like bloodbowl meets dreadnought arena combat with jacks.

Shoudl be good fun to at least read and give a try.

It sure would make a nice conversion for a jack's melee weapon arm. Giant spiked mace of death type thing.

Or cut the sucker in half and you have two giant land mines... or use it to make a press mold for lots of smaller land mines!

Looks like something that belongs in a Terry Gilliam movie turned board game.

Could be a Jim Henson movie too. Remember the big tunnel-filling device with all the drills chasing the girl down the hall in Labyrinth? And the mechanical frame behind it powered by a goblin on a bicycle-type rig? That was cool. You could convert this into something similar by cutting it in half, putting some mechanical doo-dads, pushrods, and spinny gizmos inside, and putting a gobber, gobbo, grot or gnoblar in the back.

No, I'm sure there's quite enough.

I have nothing useful to add.

Based upon your "poke at the PP fanboism":

'BTW, in before the "Great job PP!!!", or the "Wonderul model, way better sculpt that GW!!!!1!"  or the "This is oneof the best models I have seen, ever!"'

I'd say that "fanboi" claim could be lain upon yourself considering that the first mention of GW occured in your initial post.

And isn't this a little tired anyway? Are you that unoriginal that the only humor you can conjur up is this played out old prune of a lame-duck jab?

I've got a great idea: Let's just play what we like and leave others to their own tastes. I'd suggest that if you don't like the product you don't buy it.

It sure would be nice if we could move beyond the "My gaming company can beat up your gaming company" sabre rattling.

Why are you so upset?  I play warmachine genius, gots my cryx, and I love them, I am to old to be a fanboi for GW, though I loves my some tyrnadis and Slaanesh CSM

My question is still valid though, what is it?

BTW:  What are you talking about, seriosuly?  There was no GW fanboyism in my post, and no one said that one company was better than the other.  Yikes, did I miss something?  Did the Illuminati come in and remove GW praise from my post, or maybe, did they add it to my post, but just on YOUR computer?  OH NOES!  SOMEONE ASKED WHAT A PP MODEL WAS WITH OUT GIVING PRAISE AND HAD THE LETTERS G AND W IN THE POST!    HE HATES THE PP!!   BURN THE HERETIC!

EDIT:   Thanks Russ :p  Mini game eh?  Cool, warjacks playing combat soccer?  Hot, will mos def be picking up NQ and having a look-see.

Um, the answer to your question, then, is yes. And even if they aren't, you
can just wait and see on the boards. You won't have to buy the rules.

Or if you're really patient, maybe they'll release the rules in a future book release.

Though that probably won't happen for Warmachine until 2008 (not counting Prime).

Here's info from a poster on the PP boards

for some reason, our lgs got it a few days early (instead of the usual few weeks late)

gind is an alternate game in a "parallel" universe
so they have 2 WC per faction that can participate, they have manuvers (spells) that are different form their usual line up, but very simmiliar, and a play(feat) they can use once per game. the cool thing is that you can cast spells anytime, as long as it dosent interrupt something like movement/attacks

its jacks only, they push/roll/slam/throw/arc/hit the ball around the field and try to get it in the opponents goal pit, like football and golf and hockey and volleyball mixed into one.

you can only hit a jack if it has the grinder, if you hit (excluding power attacks and bash) a jack when it dosent have the grinder you get a flag, two flags and your inert for the rest of the crush(period)

its awsome, some of the spells are a little bit vauge, but its fun! lots of slamming and throwing of enemy jacks, a giant four ton ball of steel flying around the field, its very fast paced.

If you crack it open there's a prize inside. That or a little steam-gerbil.
That's my guess- I don't care what they say on the official forums, I expect a steam hamster to be inside that ball.  Because really- isn't that what these games are all about?  The inovation inherent in steam powered rodents is finally coming to the forefront.

Nah, that game's really all about the cat launchers  Adam West told me so.
