Ork players are thrice screwed:

You never got the codex you deserved, you'll never get the codex you deserve, and you keep hoping you will.

I have no doubt the ork codex is going to follow the trend of dumbing down Codicies, poor layout, and limited (wargear) choices. It'll be too late, too underpowered, and ultimately too disappointing to ever make up for 8 years of neglect and beat downs by armies that get regular updates.

With that said, you have my respect for still hoping.

Respect or pity?
When Tau, Nids, Chaos, Dark Angels, Black Templars and Chaos all get an update before us, it's a lot like being knobsmacked by the Development crew.
Still, at least we're not Dark Eldar.

Well half of the DE line is not combat effective, but half is. If I were of a DE bent I'd consider myself lucky at this point, and just make needed model increases via eldar/elf/wood elf conversions.

-"Wait a minute.....who is that Frazz is talking to in the gallery? Hmmm something is going on here.....Oh.... it seems there is some dispute over video taping of some sort......Frazz is really upset now..........wait a minute......whats he go there.......is it? Can it be?....Frazz has just unleashed his hidden weiner dog from his mini bag, while quoting shakespeares "Let slip the dogs the war!!" GG

i dont think it matters either way. even if GW balances the game somehow, all youd see are balanced armies that look and play the same. im gonna go out on a limb here and say that in a few years you will be able to predict the outcome of every game before it starts(like the brainiacs can do in chess), because all the lists are practically identicle.
player 1 "i place my annihilator"
player 2 "i place MY annihilator"
player 1 "i place my tac squad with las cannon and power fist"
playe2 "i place MY tac squad with las cannon and power fist"
and so on....

"The White Scars would probably be more popular if the words blood , black , or dark where in their name somewhere"
The more shots you take, the better chance you have at killing something, and the better chance you have at winning. The sooner you realize that, the sooner there will be fewer people playing space marines

See, that doesn't make sense.  GW makes Space Marines and Orks.  Why would GW want people to buy Space Marines and not Orks?  Why wouldn't they want people to buy Space Marines and Orks?
Because Space Marines have a large number of plastic kits which have a higher profit margin than metal kits?  Because releasing what are essentially professionally scultped conversions of the plastic tac marine over and over and over again is easier and more profitable than sculpting new Orks?

Good point. GW would rather someone collect Dark Angels and Black Templars than Space Marines and Orks.
