I agree that Kroot and fire warriors are solid units, and I'd like to plug yet another Tau unit - stealth suits.

Lots of armies do very well maxing out on three huge stealth teams, other armies dont take any and do well with crisis suits instead and of course anything in between works out pretty well too.

Good armor and JSJ usually keeps them pretty safe, but at the same time they're not the cheapest models and they die just as easily as marines if you can charge them or get at shot off at them. They put out a ton of anti infantry shooting but cant do anything against tanks unless you take the fusion options as an upgrade.

The only thing that would be a strike against them is that most people dont take their fusion options, or really any options. It might be that their options arent the greatest or that they're just so effective barebones.
