As to zero Stompa sales, I bet if GW did release one, at least someone locally would start playing orks. GW won't, so it's a mute point, but cool minis drive sales.

Yes they do. Cool, really expensive minis that only one faction can use is also not necessarily the wisest use of a business dollar though.

If GW really wanted to rake in the cash though - I have two words for them. Plastic Valkyrie

I will probably buy a Baneblade. I guarantee that I would buy at *least* 4 more Valkyries if they were plastic. I know there are plenty of other people who agree with me...

Alas, apparently the plastic Valkyrie test turned out to look fairly bad due to seam lines, so the project was shelved...
