the boredom thing is why I rarely buy stuff in advance anymore. It usually will just start to collect dust and i'll move on to another project. But I had a ton of store credit to burn so for my chaos stuff I had to get it all in advance. I'm already starting to get more ideas for other stuff for my guard army, so now I gotta force myself to finish the chaos stuff first. :/ I don't think I'm even 1/4 done yet...

Deathwing apocalypse,

current count of my army,
12 squads of terminators, 1 master, 1 chaplain and 1 librarian.
2 dreads (2 in the pipeline)
3 landraiders (another 4 secondhand models in the pipeline)

And about the flashlines, I stopped using blades, the amount of flash on GW models is
getting worse every month. I started using a scribertool (not sure if this is the correct name) from Armata (italian firm) which is basicly a trangle shaped tingstensteel rod, sharpened at both ends in a holder.
It won't get dull, it is almost impossible to slip with it and destroy some detail and more important, since iit has only 60 degree angles it is almost impossible to cut your fingers while removing the flash from the less easy to reach area's. (Just be carefull not to drop on/in in your feet, as I did)
With this contraption I am able to gently remove flash om almost any part of the models, and with the new production quality of GW you will have to....

Does working on 60+ terminators make a dull job,
No,
I work in small packages of 10, making small modifications like left / right hand switches, changing arm poses etc.
The paint job is a white undercoat, wash an knocking it back to bone with valleyo paints (much better than the GW equivalents)
When in the mood I can do 10 termies within 6 hours working time.
And i switch a lot between my deathwing termies annd the new additions to my 1000sons

1100$ for 100 terminators plus extra's
Darn..... should have waited 'cause with the current euro/dollar exchange rate that would be only 800 euros

It would be amazing to buy this and run a store campaign based on the last stand of the Ultramarines 1st Company. Hell, you could make some money back by 'renting' sections to stores for such a campaign.. Or even selling a large chunk separately in squads to players.

why are so many people disapointed?? What the hell did you guys expect?? What $290 is not enough of a saving??

If i collected DA and had the money to spare i would buy it. Now if they did something simialr for SW i would be interested

Well, seeing how I can get 35% off for apocalypse boxsets that actually have their own boxes and aren't just a big unnamed box with sprues inside, I'd be disappointed too. Plus, that whole "buy more save more" thing people usually expect.

Huh? Most of the tank boxes and my recently-purchased crisis suit army box are around 35% discount. I know chaosorc.com further discounts on top of the box price, but that's besides the point. The DW army box hardly even gets to the 20% discount you can get from most online sites.

Like i said NOT everybody knows about those deals with 35% off.

Some people only shop at GW. Some people ONLY have a GW near them. And Yes Some people live in places these other sites dont deliver to such as South LONDON (the postmen tend to get robbed here alot)

The GW apocalypse boxes, sold at GW retail price, are ~35% off. I was never talking about online discounters.
