Nice. I think I'm going to keep mine separate, though.
Mine are going to be freestanding (I hate basing terrain),
so I try to connect corner pieces with floor squares as
much as possible to give the piece strength. It seems to be
working out.

I think I am going to make bases on mine, but have the upper levels magnetized and removable so I can get at minis dropped inside/place people inbetween floors. Mostly because I have a giant magnetic hard on. I don't think I will actually be capable of thinking far enough ahead to make lots of mix and match building pieces, though it would be a good idea I think.

I do want to make a dice dispenser like someone posted here earlier. Rocking 20 rapid fire bolters in a single unit of girls would really be a lot easier that way. Especially if they came out the mouth of a big skull, and an amusing statue...
