I'm not impressed. I don't like the head and find the missile pod really detracts from the model. I think I could build my own that would look much better or at least to my liking and cost WAY less money.

Adrift within the vortex of my imagination.

I had a good look at this at Salute today.

On the upside it is fairly big, and has lots of detail.

On the downside.... well ignoring the price for now.

The model has no presence, which is quite astounding because it is definately big enough to be noticed, heavily constructed and thoroughly detailed. yet for all that it ends up as just a gunned up statue. The pose is very static, while that could be intended to mean monolithc and immovable, it just comes accross as lumpen.

The detail itself does nothing to the titan, though a good strong paintjob might fix that. In fact this model needs a strong dark red or blue with a contrasting colour plus metals to really get anywhere; and I am generally more happy with earthtoned minis.
The amount of bland detail means the eye is not drawn anywhere, and ultimately will leave the titan in favour of other stuff on the tabletop.

However the biggest flaw of the model is how top heavy it is. While bending down to get a closer look someone (no it wasnt me, honest) knocked the display cabinet. The cabinet wasnt knocked hard, you wouldnt have noticed except for the effect on the titan. The titan inside started rocking heavily and nearly toppled. Ingore the presentation pictures, this model needs a hefty base. Sadly this will only make the model more static than before, and I suspect is why Forgeworld didnt base theirs.
I hope for their sake you can pose the legs if you do base the titan. Otherwise this model is just £550 of lame duck.

Verdict: Stay the hell away from this turkey, even if you have the money to burn.

Well, I guess if the feedback for the first pics hadn't been so overwhelmingly negative, they'd've stuck with the "striding across the battlefield" pose they were trying to do back then.

The supply does not get to make the demands.

I'm assuming you only saw the grey War Griffons titan. The blue/yellow/oiled metal scheme and striding pose as seen in the pictures of the Void Runners titan gives it a lot of presence IMHO.

Adrift within the vortex of my imagination.

Yes, from that angle its much improved. I ghave seen pictures of that titan, but from poor angles and bad photgraphy.

The titan I saw 'in the resin' was the War Griffons one, and I sti8ck by my words in describing it.

It could well be the paintjob to carry it off, but then its Forgeworlds own silly fault if they bring a boring display model.

Those are both 'Hun' pattern (two weapon) Reavers. The ones described here are 'Goth' pattern.
