Ok... I was having some issues with color schemes. I know I am going for a Alpha Legion team of operatives that is fallen to Nurgle, but I wanted to get everyone's opinion on the Alpha scheme vs. the more Nurgley scheme. The first scheme is alpha and you can see that the blue-green pops fairly well. The second color scheme is more of your plain green nurgley type.. but it also look more like traditional "army man" colors too. Both minis are not complete in painting, I just picked the two minis that were the closest to being the same and slapped the armor colors on them for comparison.

Give me some ideas on which is cooler, better, cleaner, nurgleier , which pops and looks good, which looks plain? whatever.. just looking for ideas.

Alpha scheme: maybe?

Nurglier: maybe?

comments and ideas needed.

Consider Alpha Legion seconded.

I prefer the Alpha Legion scheme myself. And is that top mutant wearing a couch cushion strapped to his chest for armor?

Man, I wish there was a real Black Library where I could get a Black Library Card and take out Black Library Books without having to buy them. Of course, late fees would be your soul. But it would be worth it. - InquisitorMack

Alpha Legion scheme for sure .....
Not saying that the other one isnt good, the AL one is just that much better.

So far everywhere I have asked has been about 10-2 in favor of the AL colors.

Monkeys: Of course its a couch cushion! With IG armour saves, what else could it be??

Le Grognard: Excellent advice! I used a green wash (thraka green... the new GW wash) and it makes the AL scheme and the Nurgley colors both look alot better. I don't have pics atm though. I have decided on the AL scheme mainly because I mixed up a whole set of paints for it (6 levels of highlighting) and my wife said she liked it best She is the boss of me and also because as I polled everyone's answers it ended up with 1 for the Nurgle scheme, 21 for the AL scheme and 3 kinda undecided.

So, now that my indecision has been overcome... I gotta get to painting

Thanks everyone that took the time to give an opinion
