I don't know, it sounds tempting. But moving to the midwest is a real dealbreaker. My God, you guys have floods, tornadoes and that is just this month. I shiver at the thought of snow.

I think I am staying in So Cal

I never thought the mighty Darrian would be defeated by mere weather! Mother nature 1 - Darrian 0......sounds an awful lot like your winning percentage against Codex Toledo

Okay so on with the last batrep so we can wrap this incredible journey up! 193 orks versus 46 Marines and two LST! Outnumbered like 4 to 1 but definitely not outgunned.

The primary objective was good old victory points! I can relate to that well indeed. 12" deployment zones with Snikrot hiding in the bushes... I was really hoping Snikrot would just take a long nap after all that fungoid ale he is so fond of... you know. I bricked two tactical squads, both Dev teams and both termie command squads in an open piece of terrain on the edge of my table edge located dead on center. Termies up front as a guard against any frontal assaults. The other two tactical squads were placed over on my left flank in another building with both LSTs behind that building.

My opponent had a big mek with KFF and a warphead to lead his forces. Lots of large hordes of slugga and shoota boys spread out over his deployment zone with a trukk in the back hiding out, a big squad of Lootas in a building with some grot manned lobbas behind them and another squad of grots with kannons on his other flank. Like I said he had sneaky Snikrot in reserve with a large mob of kommandos. I won the roll to go first and targeted his Lootas busting as many caps into them as possible. The Lootas took a hard pounding then I FotA them and they failed their pin check. LSTs come and strafe another large squad of orks. Green juice was splattering all over the place and it got a bit slippery to be completely honest about it. More to come soon.

@PeterElias, from what I could tell from the news, the score is Mother Nature:2 Midwest: 0. And, sadly, that is my record vs the Toledo crew.

So anyways back to the last batrep... I blew all the orks off the table by the end of the 3rd turn and Snikrot never showed up.

Getting my broom incase there is shenanigans.

Team Competition / Players / Average Overall
Codex Toledo 4 / 211
40k Wrecking Crew 8 / 194
Borderlands 3 / 184
Silver Dragon 3 / 181
Owned / RTC 9 / 169
CoC Gladiators 7 / 162
Chosen 3 / 148

You Wrecking Crew guys let them come in to your house and do that to you?

What's worse is that they did it with half the players.

Actually it is easier to do with four players... totally gar. I see SciFi did not even place this year.

The top 4 WC players did better than the Toledo Titans, but the WC guys had a couple of guys that dragged their score down.

Its not bad considering 8 players had an average of 194.

8 players does make it tough. However cant take anything away from the Toledo guys.

Also, technicaly that wasnt our house. The majority of our members are in CO.

The Wrecking Crew likes to develop younger players. Also we do not kiss arse to TOs to gain their favor. Our reputation speaks for itself.

I was the only Sci-Fi player there this year and I am not affiliated with any club. My intent at this years Necro wasn't to win an Overall, but to win best painted and I accomplished that goal.

Right... so when you switch to 5th edition, and have more bolters and less lascannons, why will this make it harder to beat orks?

It may take several months to answer that. I do know that my mech BA list can currently handle ork hordes... they are still tough.

@ GBF - Your accusation that people from Toledo "kiss arse" to gain favor from T.O. could not possibly be further from the truth. Your lack of knowledge in this area is disturbing. Before randomly posting accusations you should think about what you're saying first. Greg is the most honest upstanding guy I know. As for Mike and I, well we just don't care that much.......

Hi Peter!

I don't know why you think my comment about arse kissing was directed at your club. If you go back and read my post you will see that there was no reference, direct or indirect. I do agree with you that my lack of knowledge may come across as disturbing as I don't kiss arse or even know where to begin... in my opinion that should not be viewed as disturbing but refreshing.
