If you want to do a conversion for your Lord, a really cool one that's really fairly simple is to melt down some of the same blue plastic you're using for your guns to make the Resurrection Orb.

I hold a piece over my gas stove till it gets soft, then push it back on itself. Once I get it to a reasonably spherical shape, I use a dremel and/or file to smooth it out better, then hold it over the stove just long enough to melt off the scratches from the grinding and giving it a real shiny smooth polish.

Why do your destroyers look like large mechanical turtles?

I really dig those blue rods, there is something so...crisp about them. All the blank space above the HD's head might benefit from some Necron iconography, just a thought.

Math sure can come in handy!

Yeah I'm adding some vents with plasticard and new GS. Thanks for the feedback.

They look much more like beetles than turtles! And I inadvertently figured that giant beetles fits pretty well in a necron army considering they also have units like Scarabs and Tomb Spiders.

I haven't updated this in awhile, mostly because I'm selling this army in favor of a renegade guard/marine/inquisition army. But before I ebay, I figured I would finish posting what I've done. I also have a better camera so these are higher quality pictures.

I love it all - except for those Destroyers. I still have a problem with them. Everything else is awesome. I just don't dig how the Destroyers turned out. Not that they're badly painted - I just feel like they're...wonky...

Man, I wish there was a real Black Library where I could get a Black Library Card and take out Black Library Books without having to buy them. Of course, late fees would be your soul. But it would be worth it. - InquisitorMack

quick tip on the paint job, just as easy, and should be faster with a more crisp result.

mix up some chaos black with water 80:20
wash that over a skull white base coat (spray works fine)
then highlight with skull white again, that way it hits all details and makes them stand out more, also, it adds shading to the model with no special work needed.

also, as to the destroyers, it might look better if the jump packs were cut down a little and re-possitioned.
if you cut them in half and have them make a ^ shape it could look better.

Suffused with the dying memories of Sanguinus, the warriors of the Death Company seek only one thing: death in battle fighting against the enemies of the Emperor.

Yeah, once the washes came out I started using Badab Black wash. Skull white just covers really poorly, even over a black wash, and I was pressed for time painting them.
