I'm impressed..no,make that AMAZED! Nice work. Makes me want to run out and buy a couple dozen manufactorum kits and a couple of baneblades and give a try at building an ordinatus of my own.

After taking the time to get my brain to tell my jaw where it should be again my advice would be:
Spray white, brown inks a others have said for complementary shading to the gold.
Or Grey spray with several Drybrush layers up to white to make it look like stone work.
Absolutely amazing work Gutter. Keep us posted on how this project goes. It will be a pleasure to watch I'm sure.

holy great mother of god!!!!!!!
that is quite possibly the best use of the several hundred of your currency spent on the kits to make that baby
you HAVE to do it justice and make it remote-controlled, just so you CAN squish your opponents infantry (don't worry about upsetting them, they will be too busy staring at it)
apologies if any one has mentioned it before, but this would make a kick-ass capitol imperialis/leviathan/ordinatus, the datasheets for which can be found at the Bell Of Lost Souls

bell of lost souls has data sheets for ordniatus's on it, you might wanan check them out and maybe use this as one of them isntead of a defense laser.
Amazing work though my friend, good luck with the painting.

The only thing model-wise that I can see is the lack of short-range anti-infantry weapons. GW art usually shows stuff like this with lots of supporting weapons firing. Are you sure you don't want to put a couple of heavy bolter sponsons on each of those treads?

@ jedi76: Yup, I wanted it to be large enough to conceal other troops and be able to have nice fields of fire.
@ H.B.M.C.: Dude! I love you! (In a non gladiator/Turkish bath house kind of way) I never knew Ordinatus’es existed. Thank you for directing my attention to the Bell.
I am now going to make it modular with these options: Defense Laser, Ordinatus Armageddon, Ordinatus Golgotha or Ordinatus Mars. I’ll make Wips. Do you think I need to add one more set of tracks for a total of three? Or do you think I can get away with just the 2 sets?
@ Covenant84: I am going to make a break down of all the parts needed so you can build one or two… send me the parts and I may put it together for you…
I think everyone has the money for this. Just buy one or two things needed per week or month. After a while be it a month or a year. WhooT There it IS! Kind of like lay-a-way or cobbling together a poor man’s Titan. And for those who don’t feel like skipping that one movie or dine-out… Sell some sp**m and/or plasma each week.
@ CaptainRexKrammer: Thanks, working on the list.
@ Peredyne: As I stated earlier, buy as you go and the construction is not hard at all. I will work on putting together a small “how I pulled it off” post later.
@ Ender502: On it.
@ Apone: I have the grey base, will do the work up to white and then a heavily diluted wash of brown, then work on the gold. Hold me, I am scared!
@ Cruentus: I wish it would be as easy as a dip!
@ Leigen_Zero: You sir, are a mind reader! As I was driving home today, I was thinking of a way I could pull it off! Aye, I am loving the idea of an Ordinatus –vs- a Defense Laser, more and more.
@ Tacobake: Thanks!
@ Khornatedemon: found the data sheets! And thanks!
@ Breotan: I am working on the HB’s and AA’s. I had ideas of putting them on the decks kind of like a "Land Battleship". Now I am rethinking every thing due to the Ordinatus seed.
@ bbb: Thanks!

I'll hold you, but I fear as you paint I may look a bit too much Patrick Swayze in Ghost
Good luck man, I'm sure you'll do this amazing model proud. Please do make a ''how-to'' article though. I'd love to know how to make something like that
and it not fall to pieces under it's own weight! Do add some small guns to it if you can. Manable turrets maybe?
If you want more help with painting (i.e. how to do the gold etc) we can answer that too.

What i really like is that it looks like an imperial church on tracks, and its bell in the tower is a laser cannon in a size that even the emporer himself would be proud of.
But imagine the impact on a battlefield: NO imperial soldier would surrender or flee in combat while fightin longside with such an impressive support.
@CrabstuffedMushrooms
I like your painting. It gives a more realistic impresion than painting the buildings darkish.

Here is a list of what is needed:
BaneBlade Tracks x2
Skull plates x3
Scroll plates x6
Double Doors x3
Fan plates x8
Adep Mech plates x4
Small Arch Door x2
Small Rectangle Door x2
Double Arch Window with skulls x22
Double Monk Window x20
Railing wit post (or a railing and a post) X28
Railing X5
Skull Flying Buttress x14
Eagle Flying Buttress x14
Small Eagle support x2
Small Angels of Death (filigree on the barrel) x8
Laurel (filigree on the barrel) x2
Statue x16
Imperial sector gives:
Skull plates 3/3
Scroll plates 3/6
Double Doors 3/3
Fan plates 2/8
Adep Mech plates 2/4
Small Arch Door 2/2
Small Rectangle Door 2/2
Double Arch Window with skulls 16/22
Double Monk Window 6/20
Railing wit post (or a railing and a post) 21/28
Railing 5/5
Skull Flying Buttress 16/14
Eagle Flying Buttress 12/14
Small Eagle support 2/2
Warhammer chapel gives:
Small Angels of Death (filigree on the barrel) 4/8
Laurel (filigree on the barrel) 1/2
Statue 4/16
I just bought the last 2 chapel boxes to finish the statues.
@ Apone: I think I may use all of the leftover plates to make a wrecked one of these to place when it dies. I will do a write up then. I am almost done collecting the bits needed for the HB’s x8 and the AA x2
@ Hellfury: Thank you sir!
@ CrabstuffedMushrooms: You sir… are a genius! That is what I am going for, that with gold stuff all over. Pic #4 is ACE. Should I re-prime with white then do your steps?
@ Necros: I agree with the size. I want to be able to shoot things OVER other things/buildings.
@ Eisenkeil: That was the look I was going for. My original drawing did not have the balcony or bowed front. I drew it with the “front” mirroring the “back” with small towers at the ends of tiers 2. But in the end I wanted a more distinct front. Besides, this gives it a land Battle ship feel to it. LOL, or at least a river steam boat!
Scouts Out!

Small update:
Made some of the point defense turrets:
I will have 8 HB’s and 2 AA’s when I am finished.
@ The Phazer: Thanks! I am considering making a front plate to put on the front. To make it look more in line like a Leviathan, it will be held in place via magnets.
@ Zhetsuken: The traks are from the Baneblade.
@ Eisenkeil: If someone were to make one, it would not be hard at all. The COD kist are an ease to use. Just buy a kit a week and in time you will have what you need.
@ Moopy: Not much, just the “flooring”, I used 0.5 to cover the windows and 2mm for the decking.
@ Stelek: lol, thanks for the push in the right direction… working on the weapons first. I hope to have it painted soon.
