For me it can range from metal, to classical(usually Bach or Beethoven and Mozart), to folk music.

I tried the Flight of the Conchord's new album recently, but would just crack up too often.

Recently I've been on a Franz Ferdinand kick, with Against Me!, Hot Hot Heat, Cake, Modest Mouse, and The Aquabats thrown in. I need something with a faster tempo to keep me going.

If I'm not listening to music I like to have Podhammer or 40k Radio to listen to. I'll also listen to old Dr. Who episodes as well if that counts.

Rachmaninov is good for any occasion. Pick something exciting, but not overpowering, such as Piano Concerto No.2 in C minor Op. 18.

Old school Chili Peppers are always good for keeping my energy up. I use What Hits as my end-of-road-trip-for-the-love-of-god-don't-pass-out music.
