Not continuity. I acutally thought it was nice they did that. I just missed the cave.
I think the bullet reconstruction was to meant to show what an unlimited research budget can do.

Great film, commendably dark and with a excellent plotline for the Joker. I was genuinely surprised and engaged with every plan of action he implements throughout the film, and I was intrigued by the similarities thrown up between him and Batman (and his lisp)
Somenews from the proverbial grapevine:
The next two characters to be covered are Catwoman and The Riddler. Before you start moaning about Halle Berry, Catwoman is to be played by Cher (seriously), but will be much more of a witch like character. This sounds fine to me as it fits the recent gloom of the films well.
Riddler will be played by Johnny Depp. I think most people will agree that he's a solid actor, so should sell the role well.
Type in Catwon and Cher to ggogle for further proof/speculation.
Any thoughts?

Anyone seen Cher's daughter (Chastity, I think) - she's on one of the reality shows for celeb weight loss. Cher kinda looks better, but in the "if you replaced everything with silicon and don't mind looking like a wax figurine" way.
If Cher is Catwoman, I might have to skip the movie. I just don't see that at all. Of course, I didn't think Robert Downey Jr could pull off Tony Stark and was wrong with that.
So, if they make Catwoman more like a witch than a cat burglar (you know, like she is in the comics), and Cher plays her, will they make her an old crone?
Sorry, I just can't see it. Shudder. I'll have nightmares about this until it's proven wrong.

It's been proven wrong, both Cher and the witch part. No one has done anything for the movie. There is no script, let alone a cast. Nolan hasn't even officially been signed up to do another one, and there is a chance he may not.

It's waaaaayyyyy to early for any kind of rumors anyway. And Cher as Catwoman??? Who would ever believe that.
It sure would be nice if we get another Batman movie till 2011, but I won't cross my fingers for anything I haven't read on Joblo before

Well since you believe what you read on the internet, I have a super secret codex that GW released to only a select few that answers all the questions and tells what happens in the future of the gaming universe that I'd be willing to sell you.

Just so that I can get that right: The Joker said somewhere over the radio or something that he got Harvey Dent, which were actually the two bodies called Dent and Harvey. At the crime scene, Bats drilled the part of the wall out where a bullet went. Back in the bat-garage (a cave, this is not) he shot several bullets in the same kind of wall to reconstruct a fingerpringt on the bullet to find an appartment were he thought the Joker would try to assassinate the mayor. Did I get that right? I know he's the word greatest detective and such, but seemed a little too over-the-top, even for me.
Reconstructing a bullet to locate a fingerprint to find out where the Joker was going to attempt to kill the mayor from is kind of goofy, but it makes comic book sense.
On the other hand, firing a bullet into a wall to figure out exactly how another bullet might have fractured when it was fired into a wall doesn't make any sense at all, not even comic book sense. The movie has so much else going for it this bit kind of stands out, but I guess all you can do is ignore it and move on.
Why did they blame the Dent murders on Batman. Couldn't they just have blaimed it on the Joker or some Mob guy. Two of the victims were mobsters anyway.
At the time the Joker was holding hostages in the building, and so likely had a pretty solid alibi. The Joker would likely have denied the charge, in order to show what Dent had done, and their priority was above all to protect Dent's reputation.
It also would have helped Batman's rep, remember his aura of fear was beginning to wear off, as mobster's were learning his rules and limitations. Having him accused of killing police and mobsters would have brought back his
They also talke about 5 victims, but I only counted 3. The mob boss, his driver and 1 cop, he didn't kill Ramirez.
I think Dent is counted as a victim as well. At the time it's likely Ramirez was missing, presumed dead. The count would likely have been adjusted down when she was revealed as still alive. That makes five.

Ahtman, I'm not actually that gullible. I was being sarcastic.
That story is pretty popular at the moment. I couldn't give a toss whether it's true or not, I just found it interesting. Don't crucify me because you don't believe in a rumour I mentioned.
There are quite a few rumours on this website, no? Maybe you should go and berate them too, just incase (heaven forbid!) they get it wrong.

There is a difference between a rumor and total crap. The Cher thing has long since passed rumor and become total crap. If someone posts a rumor that has long been discredited in the News and Rumors forum you can bet that people will point out that it is has been dismissed as well.
And stop being so sensitive.

Im guessing that Dent took care of Ramirez.
Seeing how he was the one that identified her as the second traitor ... he didnt seem especially caring at that point of the movie.
All in all, a great movie if you ask me and even the german translation was not able to push it off the ugly cliff. That was my worst fear.
Ill have to again tho and watch the original version.

Except the coin was flipped, she got lucky and it showed her being pistol whipped, not killed. The whole two face coin flip thing would have been very pointless if he just killed them anyway.
It's more likely that she'd gone underground, and Gordon & Batman just thought he'd killed her. It's also possible someone else was killed but the scene was cut from the final movie edit.

I caught the movie, and it's definately my favorite this year. The Joker was incredibly creepy, and Two Face was brilliant... although i kind of wish they'd save him for the third movie.
Although I think things were made too easy for the Joker here and there. The more I think about it, the more that scene where he baits the cop bugs me. Why is he even in the room? And having a "20 year man" so easily baited seemed to really be a case of making the good guys stupid rather than the bad guys competent.
