I like the zeppelin comment.lol. I personally dont care for Rage against. Too repetitive, rather boring beats.
I vote Stinkfist by Tool!

I dont want it, I just need it.

As far as I'm concerned, 40k already has an entire soundtrack.

It was just a packaging mistake that caused it to be labeled "Starship Troopers Soundtrack"

Of course "Bodies" by Drowning Pool is pretty accurate too.

And thanks to those damn Dawn of War commercials, all I can hear when I see Space Marines running around is "Mad World" by Tears for Fears.

Rock Lobster, B-52's for Tyranids. Just because I hear the guitar rift everytime I see a carnifex with crusher claws.

Why Can't We Be Friends - War for Imperial Guard. Let's face it, all of them are thinking it.

Alot of songs for space marines, but Macho Man by Village People is the most appropriate in my eyes.

Sex Dwarf by Softcell for Dark Eldar. Because they are that odd.

Sweet Dreams by Eurythmics as done by Marlyn Manson for Chaos Daemons. Seems evil yet wimpy really.

Never attribute to malice which can rightly be explained by stupidity.

my beef with "modern metal" and why it should never be a theme song... Theme Songs are meant to be kinda sung along with.... and well how can you sing/hum along when 99% of people can't understand the words?

The Doom Song from Invader Zim should be the 40k theme!

I used the Nile song (Sarcophagus) as many of thier tracks are based on Ancient Egyptian lore; something the Necrons are heavily lifted from.

As for Slaanesh, why Autechre? Their music would suit the Eldar much better in my opinion. I know I'm biased because I quite like Eldar (and despise Slannesh), but I reckon noise marines might be more into this-

I don't know a bout a theme song, but I've always found that good instrumentals really set the mood for 40K. I know these are obvious but:

Conan the Barbarian soundtrack
LOTR soundtrack(s)
Interview With the Vampire soundtrack
Most any Wagner

all work really well.

Pffft. Get into the spirit of things, not that garbage.

Close your eyes, imagine your Armies Hero, perfoming a "Death or Glory" on an enemies Vehicle....

A Warseer, in H2H Combat, with 3 Genestealers...

Terminators, walking slowly towards a pretty Farming settlement-deemed 'Unclean'

And listen to songs like this-LOUD.

Crack Skullz, and enjoy the "now'.

"Dakkanaut" not "Dakkaite"

1. um... are you a queer?

2. Its far too wedding-ish for the grim darkness of the far future

3. if we are having songs without words... Then this 1 takes the cake (its so EPIC)

If I were ever to compose a soundtrack to a 40K movie, I'd get Fear Factory, Bolt Thrower, Type O Negative, Iced Earth, Opeth and a couple of those scandinavian opera metal bands, then pick & choose folks and mix up all the members into new mini-bands, like Roadracer records did for their kickass anniversary album. Bruce Dickenson would probably have to produce it, so there will be enough cowbell.
