Have made good progress on the Lootas too.
Assembled the warbikerz including a minor conversion on the nob, and replaced the old BC nob arm (new nob as a PK).
Started assembly on the trukk.

This won't count as vows, but these are the open projects going into September (as of 8/30).
53 orks (mine and purchased on ebay) to wash and base
92 tyranids purchased on ebay to clean up, weight bases, and paint
24 more genestealers, 8 more tyranid MCs, and 20 more ripper swarms from ebay coming for the same
50 metal terminators (mine and traded for) to clean up and paint
Assault on Black Reach set coming next week.
YIKES!
The September Vows may just read as "Make a Dent!"

Just don't throw them TOO hard. You don't want the goal to turn into
"Patch the hole."

"Back in my day, we walked two miles just to find a store to BUY those miniatures, and
then we went out back and chopped wood for the owner so that we could earn the
money. THEN we had to manufacture the glue ourselves at the nearby factory. I tell
you, you kids have it easy."

Well I don't think i'm going to finish my Trukk, but should have it done this coming week.
I spent most of my painting time yesterday and today painting a Tau Crisis Battlesuit Commander (+ all weapons, they're magnetized). I sort of messed up the model as this was my first battlesuit, but I came up with a paint scheme to hide that and i'm pretty satisfied with it. He'll look pretty cool as a Tau leader since he is all banged up and dirty, like he has been through hell. I wont weather the other troopers nearly as much as him though, but i definitely want an urban tau force that looks like it's been fighting, and in the field for some time.

Painting:
15 HE archers
5 Ellyrian Reavers
5 Dragon Knights
1 HE Hero on Steed
That's what I did. Hoping that September fares better.

Assemble and Paint:
4 Khador Uhlans
4 MOWST--see below (grrr)
1 EIrusk Finished!
Bonus Round:
10 Blue Moon Cowboys
7 OG Pirates. 75% done
EDIT: So after stripping the last 4 MOWST I'd gotten for a trade I discovered that I was missing the Kaptain's right (weapon) shoulder piece. Grr. On top of that, one of the mooks' halberd's is damaged (bottom missing). Hrmn. I haven't yet decided whether I'm going to pick up another guy to strip for parts or just make 'em a squad of 3 or what yet, so these guys are going on the back burner for now...
This month, while not a total wash, was definitely my weakest. I was traveling a lot and when home I had a sick kid much of the time to contend with. Thus, I managed to do very, very little.
Oh, well.
