Go for it. Building a decent list is always rather expensive.

I don't really like that final list, but its a good base. Here is what I run at 1750 with a very good record.

7 PMs with Fist, melta, plasma. Rhino(261)
7 PMs with Fist, melta, plasma. Rhino(261)
7 PMs with Fist, melta, plasma. Rhino(261)
7 PMs with Fist, melta, plasma. Rhino(261)

Lash Prince with Wings (155)
Nurgle Prince with Warptime and Wings (175)

1 Oblit
2 Oblit
2 Oblit

Total Roster Cost: 1749

Some important notes, which should clarify why I don't really like your list.

1. Rhinos not only make the PMs faster, they make them that much harder to kill. PMs are just a pain in the butt there to deliver a fist and some DP attacks.

2. I always thought at first that ten would be better than 7, for more bodies, but in reality, dropping each unit to 7 will grant you points for another unit of 7 with a powerfist. Again, they are there for the fist.

3. Nurgle Princes are fun, but they are really expensive. Thats another reason I take a lash prince. Its really hard to fit a lot of Nurgle stuff into 1500. I dunno if two in 1500 is worth it. In 1750 yes.

4. Whenever you can spread your obliterators out to fill all heavy slots. Makes them harder to kill.

So the only thing that I would really suggest is dropping those units of 10 to 7 and get another unit with fist. If you arent stuck on the points total, make it 1750 and add rhinos and oblits.

Oh, also, make each unit melta/plasma. Im really against mixing weapon types but here it actually works well.

yeah,
why do people prefer 2 obliterators to a vindicator?
it's a tank with decent armour and strength 10 blast weapon...

I've yet to run either (i know thats weird) but honestly i think a pair of vindicators are the bomb!

I think vindicators would be great, but I think obliterators are better because they can deep strike, and are much more versatile. They can also hold hteir own in close combat, whereas a Vindicator is mince.

Also, a Vindi gets one shot, that while very powerfully, has potential to miss entirely. Sure you could whiff on your twin linked meltaguns or your plasmacannons, but its less likely.

Oh, and Chaos armies dont tend to have a lot of armor, and if vindis are your only tanks, chances are all of your opponents anti tank will go into them. I think however with four units of PMs in rhinos, two to three vindis wouldnt be bad.

Vindicators have flanks with armor 11.

Deep Strike gives Obliterators the ability to contest on the last turn.

Obliterator lascannons force enemy rhinos either behind cover, off the board, or to use smoke.

4 Meltaguns seems like alot, maybe even close to an average of a penetrating destroying kill shot on a landraider from within 6 inches. If you can get there. But what if there are 2 or 3 Land raiders? Obliterators bring multimeltas, they can bring them with Deep Strike. They can bring flaming death with deep strike against Ork Lootas.

Obliterators can drop in on drop pod assaults. Drop pod assualts force Vindicators back and potentially off the board. Ditto for Eldar Grav Tanks. Gene Stealers are nasty against both Vindicatrs or Obliterators.

Vindicators have to put up with 1-2 turns of TL lascannon fire before they get their shot.

Obliterators can benefit more easily from obscured target, and can use it to go to ground versus incoming instant death fire. Vindicators are hard to hide...

Bring an icon with you to direct Deep Strike.

the idea is to either deploy obliterators as normal depends or deepstrike one squad and deploy the other one normaly, plague marines walk up,rapid fire then assault whats left.
