After visiting the site, I am completely aghast. That is nerd lunacy, and the detail is staggering.

Hey, does anyone else here ever dream about having an International (or at least National) Apocalypse Game with all the biggest scratchbuild warmachines from across the world participating? Like, 10 Imperators, a couple Capitol Imperialis's, air wings of Mega-bommas, and things like this firing from across a warehouse? I mean, if you took 6 months building 4 Warhounds and about that building a Warlord or 24 stompas or whatever, what's driving 16 hours to battle like-minded insane geeks for supremacy of the universe?

Just sayin'. A duel between Doras would be f'in awesome.

I think I need to go calm down now.

Infinity: Way, way better than 40K and more affordable to boot!

Never mind driving 16 hours, that's the length of each shooting phase... As cool as it sounds, Apocalypse breaks down utterly when there's more than 3-5 players per side, the time expenditure just becomes intolerable.

The supply does not get to make the demands.

Railway guns are exceptionally cool. The Dora layout could be converted to replace the 4 sets of train trucks with a pair of Baneblade chassis... That would produce a 3' base (at least 2.5'), so you're talking about 4' to 5' overall length...

Somewhere in south-central England.

That would be a very expensive model. £120 for two Baneblades and about £360 for the railway gun, at regular prices.

But very, very cool as a centrepiece for some huge game.

I'm writing a load of fiction. My latest story starts here... This is the index of all the stories...

We're not very big on official rules. Rules lead to people looking for loopholes. What's here is about it.

This morser kit is not finished, but it is quite impressive. Though it's not the same scale as 40K, it's not that far off and with a couple of guardsmen crew here and there and some imperial emblems it could look great.

If I every get my butt back in gear WRT my unfinished Guard, I might just knock something together that'd be a bit more reasonable, but still impressive.
