Um...'Ard Boyz is US only...or do you just mean how hard is it to beat in general? How many 2500 point games do you play? You can't cram all seven LR's in at less than 2500.

i mean in any games.
im good for up to 5k point games currently, might be able to push a little more.

which on are you more likely to see?
which one are you going to slant your list too?

load bright lance mounted wave serpents with bladestorming dire avengers and fire dragons with an exarch with a crack shot heavy flamer. a miscellanious jetbike squad and guardian squad with a scatter laser deploying out of a wave serpent ain't to bad. I forgot the scatter laser mounted war walker squad as well.

It also has 18 flamers for instances like Orks.

You seem pretty confident, what would your list vs. the 7LR be?

Flat out any army worth its salt should be able to defeat a 7 LR army. It works against other "gimmicks".

I dont know what the whole deal with it honestly is. I mean do you still win a round if you are wiped out but you claim more victory points than your opponent?

If I lose it is because I had bad luck, if you win it is because you cheated.

Mounted Sisters are awesome against both lists....with a single build.

Which doesn't tell us the build now does it?

I find it interesting that this army is around and ALOT of people ahve forces tailored to beat it, not because they are expecting to face it but because they are expecting to face it, MECH anything and Nidzilla Armies, where a normal force maxed for anti-armour is also maxed for anti-MC. The 200+ Ork hoard is damned nasty, but then so is any hoard army of over 200 models. It's 2,500pts, Nid's would have a field day, same with guard at that many points hoard wise. Anyways...lost my train of thought.

I figure my chances would be best with my battlewagon orks that are, in my opinion, the end of competitive gaming in 40k. Course, I haven't faced the 7 LR list either so it could take me completely by surprise. But I did face an armored company with 2 Landraiders and 8 Leman russes in round one of the semi-finals without much issue at all. One raider got rolled over by a wagon, which then disembarked a nob team to multicharge the contents and a nearby russ, killing them both. 2nd landraider got a battlewagon full of orks to the face and fell to the first round of klaw attacks. I figure vs. 7 LR spam I would just drive into them, if D6 S10 hits doesn't do it, the 4 S9 klaw attacks from the boarding plank probably will. If they don't, the grabbin klaw means there's a 50% chance you're hanging in the wind next turn while I do it again. Run that against the chances that in 2 turns of firing the pitiful amount of shooting the 7 LR list can throw out will do anything the the wagons.

Enter stelek bravado statements of 'Just kill the wagons, it's easy'. Yeah I lost 4 wagons over the course of the semi-finals (one of them was even worth KP!), tell my opponents it's easy.

Barring the orks, I guess the dark eldar list I was considering with 18 dark lances and 16 haywire grenades would be fine too. (Yes it has plenty of goodies for Hordes too, probably no good against 200+ orks though - what is?)

What is? Dark Eldar Foot force.

120 Dark Eldar Warriors, 2 Dark Lances, 2 Blasters. there's half your points gone, now for the fun part, lol.

I like the concept for this list Moz, have you posted it up somewhere for review or are you keeping it to yourself till after 'ard Boyz?

I also like your statement of 'stelek bravo statements' lol.

I'd be surprised if the SM player let you ram with a deff rolla without forcing a judge to rule on it. There's an 8+ page thread in this forum on ramming vs. tankshocking with a deff rolla.

Well Dark Eldar with alot of dark lances and disentegrators can handle both land raiders and orks reasonably well.

Mech Eldar can't put out quite as many lances as Dark Eldar but they do have the jetbike seer council which is good for busting both land raiders and killing orks. 3 Fire Prisms provide templates for killing hordes.

Sisters with alot of meltas and flamers with vehicles for delivery sounds good against land raiders and hordes as well.
