The printout buildings ive used I printed on thick photopager for better quality/thickness then glued them onto thin cardboard ala cereal box's for stability.

For the base I used a thick cutout of plasticard and glued a photopaper graphic that was trimmed for it to the base.

foam core sheets are what I use. Print out the building that you want to make. Cut the foam core out to size. Just glue your building to the foam core shell instead of folding it up.

I've done some searching around and can't find many modern foldable buildings. Does anyone have any suggestions? Free is best. I know that there are some companies that make some beautiful terrain but it's pretty pricey when you consider the fact that you're just getting a .pdf.

@ anyone,

After reading this thread I found a website from some mordhiem players who made old foldable printable buildings, but I forgot to favorite the site and cannot find it again. Any help is great.

@Everyone

the link tothe mordhiem site is http://www.tabletopgeeks.com/

Unfortunately many of the excellent buidlings there have been taken down and their owner refuses to put them out even to be sold, woe is me, I can't even buy the buildings, their value must be greater than gold!

JP400 I downloaded your links but now that they are on my computer they won't open is this common or is it just me

Quoted from "The Defenestrator":
"Yes, I don't buy into the goody goody image the Tau PR machine has churned out . They're all dirty cold-blooded space-communists if you ask me! Besides, their shiny, selfless "we love everyone for the Greater Good" vibe is so unfitting for the "lulz we're all badass jerks" future of 40k. GW needs to play up their cold, calculating, "join us or die, and probably still die anyway" Borg-y style. That's just me of course."

Altanis wrote Vindicare. Hes like Santa he watches when your sleeping. He knows when your awake. I doesn't matter if youve been bad or good because the inquisition put a hit out on you and a shield breaker round is gonna go through your head when your eating your weaties.

Hmm..
Just rechecked the links and everything is working fine on my end.

Try a fresh install maybe?

**EDIT**
Be sure you have Vassal program installed BEFORE you try to install any game packs/mods for it.

This sounds like a lot of fun, I may have to invest in these books.

For modern day cardboard cities, try http://www.rpgnow.com/remote.php?mid=466

Or even better : http://www.worldworksgames.com, especially their Mega Mall set

Those links look great.

Have to delve a little deeper into them.

Thanks!

I read through the Chain Reaction 3.0 Rules - did anyone else find the rules as difficult to read as I did? Are the ATZ rules as poorly written? ((I do not mean that the game has bad rules - I just mean that they are formatted poorly, have a seemly *almost* random method of introducing the rules.))

I feel like a flow chart would be helpful to understand the Reaction System.

Also, for clarity, are all the models in the game really defined by a single stat (The Reputation or Rep stat) and optional Attributes? If this is the case... It seems like the characters in the game are a little one dimensional. Do veterans of this game find this to be the case?

Hmm,
Ive taken some time before I answered this and researched what you are talking about. (Have never played Chain Reaction)

Im guessing what you read through was the "Sample" rules on the website, and I can assure you, the sample rules are very, very basic when compared to an actual rulebook.

I myself do not find the characters one dimensional. I find that the game is more refreshing then your traditional skirmish level game.

If you really want overly complex rulset, I recommend Modern Skirmish such as Devil Dog Designs. Great game, though it does get old keeping trach of each and every shot in your mag.

Yeah, I was reading the free version of the Chain Reaction 3.0 rules... I also found something on their website that helped eaplain the basics a bit better.

http://www.angelfire.com/az3/twohourwargames/tutorial.html

The PDF titled The Reaction System in detail was helpful. After reading through it I was able to draw up a simple flow chart to get a good idea of how the system works. I like it.

Has anybody seen any implementations of this system into the WH40K rules? I think that it would work well with some of their skirmish scale games. Any thoughts?

No, I think they are 20mm.

Yes they are small, but when mounted to a normal 40k base they work just fine.

Besides, they are like $12-$15 US for 100 zeds.. and you will need at least that for ATZ games.

Much cheaper then buying 28mm zeds....

The owner gave me permission to use these, but after some time asked me to take them down because he planned to sell them. I never checked up to see if he did start selling them or not, but I know he hangs out on Warseer so you could try an contact him about them.

I should say Thread Necronisation is entirely appropriate for a Zombie game in the week of Halloween!

We're not very big on official rules. Rules lead to people looking for loopholes. What's here is about it.

ATZ is a good game. I really enjoyed it but as always needs a few tweaks.

Thread necro!

Been looking for modern-day miniatures and found 'em in the Batman KS. Zombicide, of course, has survivors and zombies, but Batman has pretty much all the other factions:

Civilians: Unarmed women and bums
Gangs: Numerous goons with different weapons
Police: Gotham City Police Department
Army: SWAT miniatures, some unarmed

Some Batman miniatures will work for Encounters, such as Escaped Prisoners and Rogue Police, but not Children. Campaign should end at $1 per mini, which is high for KS plastic, but less than buying the figures individually. Also, the game comes with four maps that would work for 2D ATZ. Dunno how'd they'd look with Zombicide maps if you want to make a city, but worth a try.

The best part of ATZ is the fact that any figs you want to use you can. Scale is also up to the player. Wonderful set of rules and loads of fun.

It is your shock and horror on which I feed....
