Yeah, I love the vostroyan models. They're great.

Those look nice and the basing works well witht them.

i have two squads of these though i play a straight SOB force and don't field them, but I'm hoping that eventually ( maybe in new WH codex) i will be able to give them valkeries somehow, as i love the new plastic valks and that would motivate me to get them on the table...

all i can say is that when they come out, they better look really really futuristic and elite

I like the old ST's up until the face mask. To me, the Kasrkin respirator is far superior, and is one of the chief reasons why I bought them.

And then GW made them 16 points a piece. Oh well, at least they'll make good vets...

I doubt they'll look really futuristic considering the Imperium of Man is supposed to be a "dying empire" so its using technology that they are slowly losing knowledge of.
As for elite, I hope they do a good job as well in that regard. If they're plastic, then I assume they will provide a variety of bits that I can (but probably wont) use to make them seem more decked out for war.

I think thats why I like the old "Inquisitorial" Stormtroopers. They look like they're ready for war, and they arent loaded down with those ugly backpacks that the kasrkin have. Only thing I like about Kasrkin models: the respirator masks. Onlyl redeeming quality in my eyes.

I kinda hope they -do- go back to the older look, then I can expand the Imperial Coast Guard Rescue Divers..

Kasrkinlegion wrote:The new codex is awesome in terms of game rules. It's awesome in that gives much better fluff than the last one. It FAILS when it comes to its color section.

The last codex had one of the best color sections they've ever done. The Osprey Books inspired artwork showing guardsmen was awesome. It also gave a far superior section on painting IG models offering dozens of paint schemes to get ideas from.

This one is lame. It shows a few models, all basically painted the same way they are on the website and only gives one color picture of the Valkyrie.

It also offers no color pictures of any Storm Troopers, either Kasrkins (which are awesome) or the old, not so good ones.

They put Storm Troopers in the codex and gave multiple options for having models in carapace armor (characters, veterans and Storm Troopers), but no models in the color section at all. Yet we have a whole page on the hideous Vostroyan which almost no one is using or wants to use...

Very confusing...

Here is my guess:

If they dont reveal any new models releasing soon , the customers will buy the kasrkins .

When they release the new models later , customer will still buy the new ones.

Now GW accomplished both. Getting rid of the left over storm trooper models + get you to buy new ones.

2 things: That Chimera is quite interesting looking, how did you do that? and why do divers have heavy flamers on their sentinels?

To be fair, the Daemon codex has several pictures of the current Chaos Demon Prince model as well as the Nurgle Demon Prince that was released with the Medusa V promotion and Cityfight.
