Are Ogryns allowed to ride Valks? I think I read somewhere they could not.

Yeah, I noticed that last night after I posted my crazy idea. Stupid aircraft weight limit issues.

Of course, now I have half a mind to model a Valk full of Ogryn but have it only 1/2 inch off the ground and play it with Chimera rules.

Yet another nail in the Ogryn Coffin. Finally gave them T5, but screwed some of their other stats, their gun is still worthless, increase their cost to ball-tearing levels of stupid, and then, then, if that wasn't enough, forbid them from flying in Valks and Vendy's.

I'll stick with GK Termies and Straken giving them F-Charge. They can all ride in Valks.

Well, I suspect that the option to use GK Termies in an IG army will eventually change, or at least become more difficult.

As for Ogryn, yeah, they're high points, but I've always fielded wackky IG stuff that is not the most effective, like Rough Riders and Ogryn. The Rough Riders are still tricky to use, but I think Ogryn with Yarrick, while CRAZY expensive, would also be a unit that your opponent REALLY has to stop. Getting them there in a Chimera would at least protect 'em from small arms fire.

Any hoo, I'm gonna try it out next week. We'll see what happens.

@RussW: Actually, I think it'll be the other way around. I think that, ultimately, only IG (and maybe Sisters) will have the option to take Allied Grey Knights.

So far the Valkery has been lack luster when I use it with the lascannons as lascannons are the best tank hunting item lol. I will use it to rain the fire down on troops. And have a melta squad inside.
