I haven't been here long enough to answer that one but I believe it's going to be a hard slog up a steep incline and your shovel appears to have holes in it.
A humour section would be great to isolate it from the serious stuff. I thought there was one here but I must have been thinking of another site.

I don't. I was a many month lurker too.

And to the OP. I think you are absolutely right. In 2o minutes I will start that 'Seapower in the Imperium' thread I have been meaning to do the last couple of weeks.

Well I asked Alpharius if I could share this with you guys and he gave me the "ok". A discussion for a more fluffy forum section has currently been put up in the Mod area! So if you know any mods personally. (*wink* *wink*) I suggest you let them know

Any news on this? Dakka seemed to be down for a while today and we have a newly named '40k background' section - does this mean we'll be getting a nice shiny '40k humour' section???

I think the second post in this forum summed it up best...

Read: "40K Fluff for Nutters"

Nutter: An English expression that's used to describe someone that commonly acts in a comical or odd manner. Which would imply that the "Fluff for Nutters" section was originally intended AS a "goof" section for fluff related jokes and comedy rather than serious background, as most of this is explained in the various Codices, Novels, and the Rulebook. However, being that we're starting to see a whole new generation of young gamers getting into the hobby, it would be wise nonetheless to have a serious fluff section.

I really like the Fluff section, but i think it's gone really downhill over the last few months...

Thats probably due to me not being on Dakka for a while now. But I agree the Fluff for nutters section has really slipped. To much nonsence being posted here.

I should be a MOD for this section and close all the irrelavent stuff down.

Err no. A nutter is someone who takes things to extremes or is mentally unstable. Both definitions can be apropriate for 40K fans. A gun nut is someone who lives and breathes guns; someone who is nuts about something loves it a lot. A nutter has nothing to do with comedy, it's another word for fan(atic).

I see that the new name has had no impact on this section though. There is no stand alone humour section and the humour threads have neither been locked nor moved elsewhere. What we have instead is a new coat of paint over a rusty body.
