What does sanity have to do with buying a game supplement?

We're all INsane for being in this hobby to begin with. What's a little more insanity on top of that?

I'm not in it for the insanity, I'm in it for the high-quality toilet paper.

People are like dice, a certain Frenchman said that. You throw yourself in the direction of your own choosing. People are free because they can do that. Everyone's circumstances are different, but no matter how small the choice, at the very least, you can throw yourself. It's not chance or fate. It's the choice you made.

Oh the ironing

I haven't bought a GW supplement since Mordheim. I learned my lesson with that one. Why bother when they just end up gathering dust on the shelf after a week or two of playing?

For me twenty bucks not spent on the rulebook = twenty bucks to spend on the terrain.

Wait, I think it's twenty bucks. Is it?

I don't even KNOW anymore.

Will not be buying - GW used up their "Gitkikka Goodwill Fund" with the latest price increase.

I'm buying it all... and I'll be picking up a few rolls of Charmin toilet paper that same day. I will present both purchases to my players, just so they can tell the difference.

Suppliments make 40K more interesting, certainly more interesting than the "Which of my units is about to get screwed" sweepstakes we get with each new Codex release.

Plus with this, CoD, Apoc and the Plenatary Empires, we've got the makings of a beautiful campaign system.

This.

There is so much in the 40K universe that I welcome more options beyond the scenarios in the back of the book.

I actually don't know much about it. As someone who's still working on getting their first 40K army finished up, I think I'll be picking it up, just probably not on release date. It certainly sounds exciting, and destroyable terrain is something that would be excellent. Especially when we're playing a game with all this destructive power flailing about.

"Sir, they're hiding in the woods"
"Then burn them down!"

Yeah, I'll probably get it, just not right away.

@Cheese: We get it. You want to use it as toilet paper. twice was too many.

I'll get it. Perhaps not on the day of release, but eventually.

I get all the 40k books, but haven't really played since Cities of Death came out, due to a rather pressing Fantasy addiction eating up my funds, will to paint, and brain power.

Terrain will have to wait. Seriously running out of room in my, er, room right now, but should be moving into my own place within a year I reckon!

Well, maybe if they'd have put a tad more GAME content in the RULEbook, like more scenarios instead of more than half the book with pics and filler text, your statement wouldn't have been necessary. Unfortunately, GW doesn't work like that.

Waitaminnit... Are you suggesting we put rules in the rulebook? Veto. Let's make it a $50 catalog instead!

Your comment is positively neutral (a penny for anyone who gets that comment)

On Topic: I won't be buying the rulebook, although I will be buying the space marine releases (all except Khan) for my salamanders army.

Thank god the poll says "I will GET the book" not "I will BUY the book" cause otherwise I wouldn't have filled that one.

Sharing is caring.

As far as sanity goes I really don't think you have any right to talk. You're the only one in here who hasn't been making any god-damned sense.

But yeah, just for my own entertainment I'm going to ask: why am I "insane" for not picking up this book? Is being able to take 6 Elites or 6 Heavy Supports really so fething awesome that it's worth shelling out $25 for? The terrain is worth more than the rules are.
