I do throw my ork boys and grots in a box. I don't want to, but I have no choice. The less durable ones go in a different box.

In a Society in which there is no law, and in theory no compulsion, the only arbiter of behaviour is public opinion. But public opinion, because of the tremendous urge to conformity in gregarious animals, is less tolerant than any system of law. When human beings are governed by "thou shalt not", the individual can practise a certain amount of eccentricity: when they are supposedly governed by "love" or "reason", he is under continuous pressure to make him behave and think in exactly the same way as everyone else.

George Orwell is my hero.

You think that's bad? I recently aquired a large amount of models from someone I know who was quiting WH40k, and because of that I need to use a cardboard box that's about 2 feet by 2 feet and about 3 feet high. Not only that but I can't afford cases seeing as I'm too young to get a job so I don't make money.

Oh and also thanks for the idea so that I can hold my 2 new tactical squad and assault squad and my eldar army. I'm not poor but it seems like that method would be affective for a while (like 6 months to a year).

chrisocasio wrote:I just started collecting and playing IG, but was lucky to have foam laying around the house from mail deliverys. I went out to Home Depot, bought two toolboxes for $30, and lined them with foam. Pictures attached. I can carry 2k points worth of Guard, including 4 Leman Russes and 5 Chimaeras in there. Haven't assembled my Valks yet, so I'm not sure if they'll fit. It also has storage boxes on the lid that fit my paints and glue for any emergency repairs. Inside is big enough to fit the codex IG, the main rulebook, and my notebook. There is a lift-out case where I put all my guardsmen, sorted by whether they're commanders/sergeants, flashlight men, or special weapons.

The box is a bit disorganized, didn't really re-organize it after playing last night. `
I was planning on buying one of those once but it has to many dividers inside it. Also wouldn't people look slightly suspicious when they're holding a guncase and going into a store/taking the bus or subway? That's what stopped me from buying the guncase.

EDIT: If you show me how you organized it and if you really think it's that good I might buy one. Also where can I get foam for one if I copy your idea and which brand of toolbox is it? If it's really as good as you say I'll buy one.

For my Warmachine and Hordes stuff I've relied on Sabol's Army bags.

For my Space Marines its been a combo of the GW cases for infantry and Sabol Army bags for tanks.

I use a mortar ammo box from my local army navy. It fits 4 GW sized trays pretty easily.

The case runs at $15 + cost of foam.

EDIT: Yay 10 posts, how long until i'm no longer a lurker?
