Well, when compared to Bjorn the Fell-Handed's MASSIVE 10,000 years, 1000 is not that impressive.

P.S. lots of Spaz Marines (and even inquisitors and governors) manage to leave up to a thousand years or so.

Orks continue to live as long as they fight, when they stop their metabolism decelerates(they don't regenerate so fast anymore etc..) and eventually they die.Ghazkull will live forever cause he won't ever stop fighting.

The legion traitors are that age too, although that's with time passing in the warp.

1,000 years would be impressive for someone engaging in mortal combat frequently, without power armor, and with equipment that might explode if the mek was drinking. I don't actually think a boy would last that long, unless he lived in a decidedly unorky manner.

I figure nobs and warbosses would be less effected by wear and tear as well; they're more important, and they keep growing. (As Grot Boss said.)

Anuvver fing - when they do sumfing, they try to make it look like somfink else to confuse everybody. When one of them wants to lord it over the uvvers, 'e says "I'm very speshul so'z you gotta worship me", or "I know summink wot you lot don't know, so yer better lissen good". Da funny fing is, arf of 'em believe it and da over arf don't, so 'e 'as to hit 'em all anyway or run fer it.

1) They won't last that long through constant war.
2) They all can and eventually WILL die. Nowhere in the ork dex does it mention immortality.

You could say the same of space marines.
2) They all can and eventually WILL die. Nowhere in the ork dex does it mention immortality.
It doesn't mention anything regarding the way they age.

Guardsmen are humans, so that line of reasoning doesn't really work.

Yeah, but these are humans in 40k!
Who knows what could have happened in 38,000 thousand years?!?

(P.S. let me have my moment of triumph orkeosuarus, THEN you can ruin it)
