Well, Night Haunter was from a Hive World.

I think they're sort of a "Batman gone crazy" theme.

Anuvver fing - when they do sumfing, they try to make it look like somfink else to confuse everybody. When one of them wants to lord it over the uvvers, 'e says "I'm very speshul so'z you gotta worship me", or "I know summink wot you lot don't know, so yer better lissen good". Da funny fing is, arf of 'em believe it and da over arf don't, so 'e 'as to hit 'em all anyway or run fer it.

It's because of that poem by the gay poet.

You know?

Lionel Johnson. The Dark Angel.

Still, there were probably not that many English poets that weren't gay (or at least try-sexual - as in try anything) at the time.
Many of the leading "romantic" era poets and writers were, at least.

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).
Old enough to know better, young enough to not give a ****.

That is not dead which can eternal lie ...

... and yet, with strange aeons, even death may die.

I think I should change the Raven Guard to Apache.

DA are the gay joke fountain because:

1: They wear robes which sometimes are painted to look like a dress
2: The inspiration came from a queer poet from a queer time when eeryone was going to watch queer plays and everyone with money had a queer butler named Reganald

Dark Angels are outrageously gay.
Imagine the most roman centurion you can, double that level of dedication to roman culture and imagine him being at war with the gauls for 40 years then bursting out in a flourish of romanistic patriotism.
That is the level of outrageousness that the Dark Angels have when it comes to their homosexual ways.

I see what you did there

Surely the Salamanders planet of Nocture draws parallels to Sicily where Roman/Greek legend had it that the God Vulkan lived in the Volcano Mt Etna...

No I was talking about the warfare style. Apache warriors were among the first to fight the unseen war against the white man who was invading thier land. This led to the Apache being masters of the unseen war by targeting british officers and stealing and raiding. This can be what bases cultures using communication to cunduct warfare in a specific way that ends up developing into a tradition which is what helps the growth of a culture

yes but names and a unique style can be used to define a culture. This why I edited it to pacific oceans as names are simalar. For example a warrior race who lived in pre-history New Zealand who went by the name Moari. This could sound like a made up salamander by the name of MMo'ria
