Okay, what if someone kills lucius and then commits suicide?

If I remember correctly, it takes time for the killer to turn into Lucius (the Codex describes hair falling out, face becoming scarred over time), so someone killing Lucius likely wouldn't know of their fate. By the time they realise, the transformation is already beginning. I'm not sure if Lucius becomes the dominant mind early on (as this would prevent the killer committing suicide), but it's interesting.

As for him stepping on a land mine...as a Khorne follower I wish he would

He got shot up by some loyalist EC in Galaxy in flames. In the last few pages of "Fugrim" after Fulgrim was possessed, he mentions that Lucius was the only one who noticed the difference (Since the greater demon possessed him) He gave him the sword and something about it granting him enternal life.


Fulgrim is a sick, twisted book.

lucius didn't get his eternal powers yet because near the end when horus was grandstanding after his victory lucius swore that not even death will contain his might. The demon inside fuligrim gave lucius the sword because the warp touched him early slannesh probly have his eye on him early on.
And yes Fulgrim is a dirty book.

What if they nuke a planet with him on it death star style? herm...

The person who nuked the place would have to be satisfied with an explosion that big and then...you know where it goes from there.

There are plenty of circumstances where Lucius can be killed and not come back, and his soul ends up going wherever every other foul traitor's soul goes when they die. For example, he happens to be underneath when an Ork Rokk makes planetfall. Or he gets shredded by a swarm of scarabs. Or a squadron of Demolishers just happens to target the building he's standing in at the same time.

I'm pretty sure he doesn't have a bound daemon of contract law on hand so that whenever he gets killed he can play the rules in order to get hisself a ressurection.

Why would a commissar kill the guardsmen that just happen to kill a Chaos space marine? Now if the commissar knew about lucius before hand that would be a different story
but he would only know that if he was working with an inquistior who would most likily have that sort of info not known by the masses.

And if he was working with an inquisitor he would most likley kill both the commisar and the guardsmen afterwards.

but if Lucius's soul immediatly enters the host's body then the inquisitor will have killed him.

then someone will have the kill the inquisitor..........

...And then someone has to kill the person who kills the inquistor unless they feel no emotion when they kill so that they in turn won't have to be killed

If Kharn killed Lucius, would Khorne allow him to be possessed? Seeing as he hates anything Slaneesh...

What if they just lock him up someplace, freeze him in cabonite, put him in stasis etc. No one dies, no one turns, Lucius is neutralised, problem solved.

Yeah, that should be easy. Just ignore his ability to emit armour-shattering sonic screams, the ability to summon daemons to his aid, his superlative fighting skill, and the fact that the touch of his armour hurts like a Space Marine hitting you with a power weapon. Not to mention he's a sadistic 10,000 year old immortal that likes to toy with his enemies: he's like Hannibal Lector would be if he'd sold his soul to the Dark Power of concealment, perversion, and suffering.

The stupid makes my head hurt. I give up.

I'd just kill him, then take enough painkillers to make myself feel nothing for the next several days, and lock myself in a space hulk or something, so that lucius can't hurt anyone, and I don't feel all the horrible pain.

Taking one for the team, it won't work permanently, but he'll eventually die of starvation or something.

Sadly people are forgetting that Lucius is blessed by Slannesh as well. Not only is he a supremely competent fighter, but he has Slannesh's luck as well. He will never step on a landmine or get shot down by a sentry gun. He is just too blessed for such a mundane thing to happen. There are perks that come with being the champion of a god.

Despite what happens on the table top, Lucius could never fall to a Necron, or even your basic Grey knight. He is just too skilled.

Likewise, he is too smart to engage a dreadnaught or other construct. Why fight something you have no chance of winning against.

Remember, Lucius is all about martial pride. He wants to fight strong human opponents. People with emotions and desires, people who will fight him with the same passion that he uses to fight others.

This is why Lucius is so awesome. He is the ultimate antagonist. He just keeps coming back, because he is too damn smart and skilled to be killed off in anyway that would prevent him from coming back.
